Need to high flow stock rb25 turbo
vxsr33 replied to Rb25det123's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Highflow a 21u turbo though. Op6 is laggy imo. -
I didn't know nistune had all those features. Im tempted to run only e85 as i have a fair amount of e85 stations within close proximity and i have a second car. Is an fuel flex tune a lot more expensive than a normal tune? I was thinking of getting an adaptronic if i go flex fuel would this be a good option? I don't plan any of this soon I'm just trying to gain some knowledge
-
6 year bump. Is a power fc (r33 gtst) capable of running e85 and flex tune? I know you need a e85 pump, fuel lines and compatible injectors but what else is needed?
-
Cheers man. Atm I'm running stock wheels and have a ridiculous 5cm of guard gap each corner, those spec wheels should fit but just not sure about suspension clearances.
-
Smidy if you end up fitting these wheels without spacers, can you report back whether they foul the struts or scrub. Would be much appreciated and helpful for others.
-
Lovely car, its so clean. Love the colour, i don't think i have ever seen another r34 in that blue.
-
Anyone know if wheels of this spec (18 9.5 30) would fit an r33 gtst with rolled guards?
-
Its pretty easy to remove the old studs yourself but the rears are a bit annoying, you have to take apart the handbrake drum assembly to have room to remove the studs. If your going to run 10mm spacers id say get the GKtech extended studs and 10mm hubcentric slip on spacers. If your going to run bolt on spacers you wont need extended studs. If i were you i would sell the wheels and just get proper fitting ones, they will look more aggressive, have better grip and are safer. Bolt on spacers are dodgy as imo, i wouldn't trust them. Hubcentric slip on is better but no spacers are preferable.

Amazing car. Must turn a lot of heads!

Honestly its not worth the risk and worry. I know a few of people that drove turbo and v8 cars around half way through their P's and never got caught. They kept their cars very clean and stock looking. no stupid jdm cop bait stickers, not slammed, quiet exhaust etc. If you get in an accident you won't get insured if you are driving a prohibited vehicle. If your deadset on a skyline just get an r34 na manual. Just don't bother with any engine mods and leave exhaust stock. Just do handling mods, a nice set of wheels and keep it clean. Like others said, if you have the patience then get a cheap corolla and save your money for a nice r34 gtt when your off your P's

Damn. i wish i didn't sell my stock turbo for peanuts now
-
The main reason i want to change is the drop to 2.5 inch really bugs me and I'm over the look of the cannon. Not expecting any noticeable performance increase.

$100 is a fair bit when your a uni student with limited workshifts. And most of the prices i am seeing are around $450. But i guess you get what you pay for. Ill give them a ring next week.

Thanks for the link mate but honestly a bit too steep for my budget. I'm looking to spend around $200-300.

I just checked my exhaust and the way its the piping goes doesnt allow space for a mid muffler. I also drove the car with a straight pipe (was doing hicas delete so had to drop rear exhaust) just to see how loud it was. Needless to say its unbearingly loud, i got about 20 angry looks even though i drove around at low rpms. Can anyone recommend me a rear muffler ( preferably dual tip ) that flows well but is quiet?
-
Ok so hot dog resonator will do stuff all. What kind of mid muffler would be best? Would a straight through mid muffler work?
-
Hi all, I'm making around 250rwkw in my r33 gtst with a hypergear op6 highflow. My exhaust of right (3 inch system) now is a bellmouth dump pipe, to venom 100cell cat, then straight to a jasma cannon. However the jasma cannon reduces to around 2.5 inch. This setup is fairly loud but not too bad when cruising and light throttle. I want to replace the cannon with a piece of 4 inch straight pipe. Mainly because i want to remove the 2.5 inch restriction, i like the look and i can do it fairly cheap. I don't want the exhaust to be insanely loud or drone heaps. A little louder than now is ok. If i install a hot dog resonator after the cat, will this be enough to reduce noise a bit and keep drone down? Or will i have to install a different type of muffler?
-
As title says looking for one at a reasonable price. Can be any colour or paint condition, as long as its not cracked or chipped. Located in melbourne. If anyone has one, knows someone selling or knows a good place to get one please let me know. Cheers guys

Since the OP has solved his issue and and this topic is on exhausts. Does anyone know where i can get a dual tip muffler with 3 inch inlet? Only ones i can find are the xforce ones -
Best performance street tyres
vxsr33 replied to vxsr33's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Fair enough. personally i can't stand shitty tyres that spin with 25% throttle in wet weather. Id rather just pay the extra for the added performance and peace of mind. Then again i only have a gtst so much less grip than your gtr. Im also running 235/45/17 tyres which is one of the cheapest tyre sizes.
