  1. They can defect you for whatever they want. I read a mag entry that said that they got defected for factory STi aluminium pedals. There should be a system where if you clear defects without touching the car, the police department should compensate you .
  2. All turbo Skylines (R32-34) have 4pot front 2pot rear. You're seeing one side of the brakes lol. Yes it is IMO, buy a GT-R!
  3. For $600 I would want a good condition set with centre caps.
  4. I hope someone with legal background can chime in and confirm, but can you ask the officer to state their badge number, base station etc. when they pull you over? What about refusing to co-operate if they don't provide their ID? I don't understand why the police have the power to defect you when it's clear some of them don't know what they are defecting you for (e.g. standard ride height). At least use the 100mm block to check height or dB meter to check exhaust volume.
  5. I used to get around 600km per tank (so around 10L/100km or better) from my standard (apart from R34 turbo) R32 GTS-t. Don't even bother with an N/A auto. Just be patient and look for a good condition Type-M.
  6. With lots of custom work you can probably make it fit. Perfect spot for a HKS turbo timer though lol.
  7. Take them out and file again. Did you bed them in?
  8. I'm assuming rolled guards. What cambers are you running?
  9. Bloody hell lol. I paid double to replace the mid muffler (including the piping).
  10. I sold mine a couple of years ago for $600 with bald tyres. They were in good condition with very minor rashing and centre caps.
  11. Couple hundred too much IMO. But it depends on how much they are worth to you. I sold my Volk SF Challenge set (17x9+22) for less with near-new tyres!
  12. $800? Do they have good tyres on them?
  13. Yeah, but if you're running 10psi through them, they will last (assuming second hand turbo is in good condition). Note the OP has standard ECU and wants a $400-500 bolt on solution to a blown turbo. How he got the turbo to blow in the first place? Either debris or spinning them past their design. If OP decides to go with a high-flow, might as well do the ECU and get it tuned. Ebay turbos are a hit and miss (judging from what I've read and seen). You have to wonder how much engineering has gone into a cheap ebay turbo. The Hypergear sounds good doesn't it?
  14. Depends on the person wearing the badge I reckon. Perhaps he has pulled you over, or seen you do stuff, or maybe he mistaken you for someone else, or doesn't like your ethnicity, whatever the reason being. I was thinking that, but what if they can arrest you for recording them? Lol. Privacy laws or something? Officer: You're being recorded Me: So are you *points to in-car camera*
  15. Alternatively, you can put an NEO6 turbo + RB20 actuator (easily obtained for under $500) for bolt on fun. Depends on what you want though.
  16. Looks like they have you in their black book, or they just hate you. Bad neighbourhood? Remember they record your conversation, so ask them to prove you were speeding. Ask them to state their badge number etc. so it's all in the recording. I wonder if you can record the encounter (legally speaking).
  17. Buy my wheels
  18. Actually water is the coolant. The stuff you put in there (red or green) is antifreeze. They extend the freeze and boil points of water. But yes, the boiling point of water is increased when it's under pressure.
  19. This is great! Always felt the clutch engagement point is too high, was thinking my clutch is about to wear out. Thanks for sharing.
  20. Yes you can weld it up, but it may crack again. I ended up replacing the muffler.
  21. Rota, XXR. Seen what those two companies have to offer?
  22. Intake plenum is either 241,000km or 41,000 track km. But in saying that, the car looks like it's good condition. At $20k it's a great price (judging from pictures).
