  1. Nice pick up. Throw the mushroom rubbish in the bin and look for either a nice paper filter (e.g. Apexi, et al.) or standard air box. I still miss my old R32 GTS-t. Such a fun car to drive, good on petrol, excellent chassis in standard form that you can enjoy at low speeds.
  2. Ahh right, man I haven't see one of those in a loooong time.
  3. Jump on the wiki on R31 Skyline Club forum, all your answers await you. IMO pod filter is a waste of time/money. My car had no issues making 109rwkW with standard air box, GTS1 cam and GTS2 extractors (standard ECU). Yes it was a happy dyno haha.
  4. Create a for sale thread for it
  5. What's a charge gauge? Different to the volt meter?
  6. Nice pickup! Hopefully you keep this thread updated with all the DIY repairs. These seem tempting because they drop value hard when warranty ends haha.
  7. You can go for a mild cam. IMO spending money on the SOHC head isn't worth the money, unless you really like the single cam. You can easily put a VL turbo "kit" on it if you're on a tight budget. But I'd save up and do turbo conversion properly. Quite a bit of info around here and on a site more focused on the R31 Skyline
  8. Take panels off until you find the source of the beeps? Maybe it's under the shifter panel.
  9. Yeah I remember Kudos had complete (including ballast and bulb) for about $2k each, sad but usual price for OE HID headlights.
  10. Delicious But the series 3 HID projector headlights look better (with better vision to boot).
  11. Projector is probably at end of thread, wind it the other way. It might have popped out of the screw thread. So bake it apart, remove shitty halogen projector, install a good D2S projector, aim, assemble and enjoy.
  12. As per diagram, looks like it's held in by two clips?
  13. Nice whiskey! How does it taste? I never tried Australia, $70 Aldi whiskeys for me
  14. I'll bring my Liberty so it can blow a head gasket
  15. You can look your VIN up on gtr-registry.com and see what comes up
  16. Wreckers, ebay, gumtree, Facebook groups. I haven't seen roof racks for sale in forums for a long time.
  17. Before sending the car to auctions, owner in Japan probably swapped out suspension for stuff laying around in a workshop or whatever. But yeah, I'd seriously consider those TEIN streets.
  18. My guesses: Car wants LS1 Fusible links at positive battery, or some sort of connector (e.g. ECU) being dodgy Sell it and buy a WRX oh wait wrong forum
  19. @shehris hey I don't have an R34 so I can't say, I just go off the Nismo sizes. Ditto to what Kiwi said, those offsets are off. Play with the willtheyfit calculator and crack out tape measure and try to imagine how it would sit on your car.
  20. Not really, $600-odd for bolt in is good. When you compare it to cheapo red/yellow ones, yes, but they're on par with OEM and cheaper than the R35 route. In the mean time, gap your spark plugs to 0.7mm and see if that makes a difference.
  21. Comparing used Bilstein in my Subaru wagon, the TEIN Street Basis Z is quite comfortable. Body control is overall on par (some positives, some negatives). For example, the short travel you can definitely feel, but the "softer" dampening controls bumps quite well even on 6kg/5kg springs. Considering the price, if you're after some standard replacements + lowering they are great. Note that Street is different to the other TEINs, which would be rough as (e.g. the old ones that I had on my 32R). It really depends on your intended use and how much you want to spend.
  22. Doesn't look like it
