flex fuel or straight e85
Dose Pipe Sutututu replied to cookie1987's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
And with today's ECUs and software you're able to set E85 as your primary table and use the compensation tables to correct when you're not using E85. Means your E85 would be perfect (so to speak) and anything less than E85 to E0 would have the compensation tables blended ontop based on the ethanol concentration. -
flex fuel or straight e85

You'll be silly not to go flex fuel, just a sensor and 3x wires and you're done (assuming you have an ECU that has a spare digital input). -
Putting A Series 1 Rb25Det Into A S2 R33.

Depending on the CAS you also need to reverse all the wires. -
You back it off as you reach max torque for your RPM range. Generally the easiest way to dial in VCT (this is how I do it) is do 1x run with VCT off and 1x run with VCT and overlay the torque curve. Where they intersect is an ideal RPM where you disable VCT. I find (based on my personal experience on dynos) most motors will happily take more timing as switch off VCT.

Lek Shu baby, got some new Nissan coil packs and a new loom. As @WantGTR would say, it's "kinda cute". And yeah, let's start it too lol

Wonder if your VCT is setup properly on the Adaptronic? Send me your map.

Set it to 0, re-time the motor and back on the dyno for quick squirt, car should make a bit more power up top. Regarding exhaust cam years generally give you more top end, so in your case going from an advance back to where it should be is essentially retarding the exhaust.

R/O/Y coil packs?
-
Might have been done on purpose to aid low down power, a bit ghetto OR it was installed incorrectly lol. You'll find your AFRs might change too as altering the cam timing and or cam duration/lift affects the engines VE. Setting it back to 0 should end up giving you a bit more top end

Spark plug change now engine misfire
Dose Pipe Sutututu replied to AnalStick's topic in General Maintenance
You'll find coil packs in the following colours, ie the left hand side of the colour spectrum are 9/10 the root of your problem(s) with a car that is running more than stock boost. Red Orange Yellow Green? (Eventually) lol. Anyone remember ROYGBIV? -

Or the plugs in there before were gapped very small, and now new plugs have a larger gap. Or old plugs were gapped stupid small on purpose to mask any coil pack issues. If the coil pack's colour is on the left hand side of the colour spectrum then there's part of your problem. -
My opinion is they're the same siet, I used OEM ones that came with my gasket kit. I would also use whatever cylinder head shops use too.
