  1. What are the IATs like? Swap out the cooler and it will make more power and if there isn't any compensation on the IAT it will also show slightly leaner mixture denoting a cooler charge temp. General question: You can make 400kW+ on these stock coolers, but are you making that power efficiently?
  2. Not the Comp and Pro Series. Their budget kits are though.
  3. Pretty jealous you got a new box in hopefully time to carve up mad times!
  4. New box, sounds like a 2nd gear clutch dump is mandatory lol
  5. CRD and Maatouks, watch out!
  6. You mean hella rich? Best way is to have 2x tunes, ghetto way is to blend up some E40 or so and run that with temporary injector correction so it runs okay on light throttle, cruise, etc. If you've been having cold start issues from the start, it's more likely you don't haven't enough cranking fuel for when it's cold.
  7. Strap it to a dyno, load hold it at 4k rpm for a good 30 mins Dump the oil and pop in fresh oil see how it goes, if not rebuild. I laugh if the "engine" builder didn't clock the rings LOL
  8. HaveI have one, I'm located in Cabramatta. Have sent you a PM.
  9. I personally would go for the Kelford, has more lIft.
  10. Cranking compensation table wasn't dialed in properly. Was too lean to start.
  11. Removing the restrictors would add to the problem with the motor appearing to breathe heavily. I would take off the head and pop in 2x 1.2mm restrictors into the rear feeds and whilst you're at it, install a head drain since the head is off. You'll need to clean it up a bit to remove all the swarf when you drill into it to fit the drain.
  12. How rich is your tune? could be fuel/combustion gasses being pushed into the crank and then making its way back up. Also was the motor fitted with decent restrictors when it was built? If not, is there a head drain?
  13. Getting a Tiguan 162TSI as well? Even @Sydneykid has one haha
  14. Saturday spent making lines, not the type everyone generally likes on a Friday night lol. Oil drain (didn't take good photos of it), oil feed and oil filter done! Just need to mount the oil filter and then nip up all the lines.
  15. Mashallah! Congrats on the kid Problem with CD009 conversions, they end up costing 10k. With that kind of money you could nearly slot in a helical cut box.
  16. But does your car even work? Lol
  17. I think moreso the consensus is to use known names, not dim sum yumcha eBay special fittings. I've used Raceworks fittings and even their surge tank (that 180SX with the GTX3071 I tuned) on a car I've built, as well as Aeroflow on many other shit box Silvias and they've been great. I did have mainly Aeroflow fittings on this shit box in the past however decided to go all Speedflow (just because), spent heaps on everything else so might as well top it off with expensive fittings. Moral of the story, if you want a reliable fast car, buy a modern fast reliable fast car instead of buying a shit box and building it to be fast.
  18. Yeah because you probably over injected fuel during crank as the temp sensor was unplugged.
  19. Or buy a Golf GTI, install an intake, a dump/downpipe, and flash it. Will go faster than a 200kW GTS-t boat and has all the luxury, features and safety.
  20. Just makes it a bit neater and nothing will touch, rub on the manifold. Less things to catch on fire I suppose lol. I'll take photos, Don't worry
  21. I won't go into detail about those coloured coil packs, but just do a few searches.
  22. I wish I listened to my wife at times when she told me to sell up the shit box and all the crap around the house and treat myself to a E90 335i BMW, but I said nah I'll finish off this project. LOL
  23. Called in "sick" then went to MSCN to get fittings, hard lines for the turbo setup. Left wondering why I didn't go to work instead lol.
