  1. Yeah I know what you mean, I just said AFR because bending the AFM signals causes the AFRs to change. However you do realise that will cause the ECU to reference cells with less load = more timing right?
  2. SAFC can only bend the AFRs, however it does not change timing.. if you look at the stock R33 map, timing values are around 22 on noise, which is heaps if you decent to add in more boost. Like I said, best option is a Toshi remap.. happy days pump nearly 1 bar into motor no knock, and happy AFRs
  3. Toshi sockets & installed a remapped rom into your ECU and is about half the price of a Nistune.
  4. Or slap in a highflow and get in touch with Toshi (forums sponsor) for an off the shelf remap using your stock afm, stock injectors, etc. so you can up the boost without falling off the map with your stock tune.
  5. ^ yep, tune related I've played around with a 2 nistunes and both cars don't run BOVs.. no farts or stalling around town.
  6. Type 6 boards are out for R33 ECUs, far better than using a modified Z32 ECU http://forum.nistune.com/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=2708 Nistunes are NOT rubbish, I've tuned 3x S15s with them and I have no issue with them. The software is decent too, and has the ability to overlay AFR vs. load points on the trace windows (which I find very handy). Currently using Adaptronic too, decent ECU however the software is not as refined as others but once you get your head around it it's ok.
  7. hey mate! Socketed ECU with a reprogrammed ROM Don't think anyone has installed the new Type 6 Nistune for R33 ECUs yet, I know a few of the Stagea boys have though.
  8. ooo totally missed that part haha.. skim read the OP and saw retard timing, NOS and PowerFC
  9. More so you need to richen up the mixture as NO is introduced into the intake, as NO will cause the "current" fuel mixture to lean out. Just think of lightly as compressed air entering the combustion mix, as you introduce more air, you need to supplement that with a fuel source. More advanced ECUs will allow you setup an input trigger so as the NO is injected your fuel mixtures richen, with the PowerFC I'm not sure it's possible as it has no AUX inputs. Another common old school setup is to run a separate fuel injector to inject extra fuel in as NO is sprayed into the motor.
  10. Adrian, I hope you've read the very first post.. he's already running an estimated 11:1 static CR
  11. Stock RB25DET manifold, Hypergear SS3 OR G3 and all you need a custom dump/downpipe then go bake tyres
  12. Not sure what you mean it's built to rev up to 7500rpm easily.. a stock motor does that? I reckon get a Hypergear SS2 or even SS3 or even a G3 and feed it E85.. hello 300kW+
  13. I would put a bigger turbo than that on the motor, the stock turbo will choke that motor.. I recall you said it was built from the ground up, so why not spend a tiny bit more and go for a massive turbo and feed it some E85
  14. be interesting to stick a temp probe into that exhaust housing.. it's TINY! ahaha
  15. LOL... stock ones were designed to last a few hundred thousand kms in factory form, i.e. stock intake, stock boost, stock exhaust The dimsim ones were designed to be used as DIY jet engines or door stoppers or bolted to Hondas.
