  1. Is the face between the comp cover and the diffuser plate properly sealed with either an o-ring or some thin sealant?
  2. Of course, I forgot about using a rattle gun. I'm a little too keen to start cutting sometimes As r32-25t said you can try to create some friction on it whilst rattling. Clean off dirt on the sensor and just slide it back in
  3. It's the wheel speed sensor for abs and attesa. Sounds like the taper is just spinning inside the arm, if the joint is being replaced then an angle grinder up the nut will make light work of the job.
  4. I've got a toyotool which is just a compact version of the above. All you need to do is have an air fitting on the plug hole so the cylinder is pressurized to keep the valves up. I have done this with success though I had the piston at tdc just incase so the valve wouldn't drop out completely.
  5. Had fun for my first track day (33 gtr with gold bbs rims) though the amount of body roll makes me think I need stiffer springs and/or sway bars. Thanks for organizing a great event at an interesting track, can't wait to go along to the next track day.
  6. R33 GTS/-T sales brochure from Japan For sale is an R33 GTS/-T sales brochure in good condition. It is 27 pages and has some nice photos and interesting pictures relating to factory options. It's all written in Japanese but I'm sure google translate could help out if you were keen. I found it at a second hand shop in Japan and I thought someone in Aus might be interested. I bought it for $10 aud and i'll sell it for that + postage.
  7. It's not a good idea to wind up boost with the stock ecu on that engine. This street racer found out the hard way.
  8. Absolute wrong place to drive like that with cars like that. Being filmed has a tendency to make people show off but those guys should have the brains to not push it too far on the roads. I feel sorry for any person who is turning right and potentially gets t-boned because they thought a car was a safe distance down the road and only doing 80kmh.
  9. I managed to sort out my entry after all, look forward to giving my car it's first run in the track.
  10. Hey ssxRicho I have gone through the entry form but can't pay yet. PayPal want to send me a security code via sms though I'm overseas and don't have any network service apart from wifi. Is there any other way I can pay?
  11. +1 for check alignment. Does it feel like the car is trying to pull the steering wheel from your hands when you travel over bumps and undulations?
  12. New Vic member here Hi all, long time lurker but recent payed up member here. Look forward to doing some Vic track days and meeting some sau crew.
  13. ^^ I agree with Duncan. Do you have to push the clutch solid to the floor to disengage it or change gears?
  14. x6 Nismo 600cc injectors used but still in perfect condition, done 5000k's since clean and service. Still in car but will be out in the next couple of days, selling due to going bigger. Price $350 delivered anywhere in Australia. Acl main and rod bearings std size for rb30 brand new in box. Bought with intention of doing rb30 bottom end but never eventuated. Price $210 delivered anywhere in Australia. I'm in Geelong, Vic if you wanted to pick up.
  15. I've goat a full set of rb25de neo pistons and rods in good condition if you wanted to bump up compression.
  16. Looks nicely scratched up. You need to fill those scratches because that's where it leaks through. Every burr created by the scratches needs to be smoothed out and the surface cleaned up by using 800 grit wet and dry. The area needs to be cleaned well using metho and a clean rag then let completely dry. Cut up and old bank card or similar so you can make a little scraper that can fit in the hole but still has some rigidity. Skim coat a thin layer of gasket sealant to fill the scratches and let it completely dry. After that lube up new o-rings and hole with silicone spray and gently insert like a caring lover.
  17. http://www.carrollsmith.com/books/index.html Carroll Smith has some good detailed info on nearly all aspects of race cars. I had "engineer to win" but I can't find it now. It had good info about material use in race cars as well as suspension info.
  18. Take circlip off, take out shifter and then fill specified volume. Justjap or similar will likely have replacement boot if you do a search, they are pretty generic across skylines. With a good length 1/2" breaker bar you don't have to be Hercules to undo the gearbox plugs.
  19. If the lifters are in good condition and cleaned then thicker oil is not the way you want to go, that's only for suspected worn lifters. If the ramp on the cam is a bit aggressive coupled with extra spring pressure and restricted oil feeds it could explain it. You might be at the end of the lifters ability.
