Hands Down Where Is The Best Bang For Buck For Engine Hardware
89CAL replied to danny14's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
What do you want? Bottom end? Top end? Bolt ons? Really you are better off doing your own research and getting what you want You might want to buy aussie made (spool or nitto) or you might want to go for Japanese parts -
Ferrari do seem a bit of a dark horse.......

How dare you! I cant afford to go to $22 you know.... -
They either arent the correct nismos or not nismos by the sounds of it
-
No, there is a page for the internals of the starter and then the whole starter on another page. The interchangeable part is the whole motor. but if youve made 1 out of 2 then all good. no need to wonder why they made it different or if you were given the wrong part or part number etc. All good

Look at the cold start valve, might be causing an issue. Was the idle self learn done properly on the power fc? What does your sensor/sw page in 'ETC' show? If the PFC HC shows temperature normal then it isnt the water temp sensor. Could try cleaning the aac but if it idles ok after warming up im not to sure it will be that. What does your timing do on cold start and does it smell rich or not really?

$20 including delivery? -
Usually just trial and error, bit of fiddling around with the hinge (loosening the bolts off a touch, adjusting the door, tighten up, trial) otherwise the hinge pin might be worn and need replacing (or the hinge, havent looked at the ones on the skylines) there should be a little bit to play with in the hinge mounts anyway, either on the door or on the body of the car, or maybe both should be able to work out roughly which way it needs to go by looking where it rubs Sorry its no 'DIY' but best I can do in a short amount of time. Otherwise if you search google for car door adjustment you should find something that will help out

Need more photos but dont think it is off any of the models you have listed. It looks like its made of aluminium? -
Do you have access to a pit? Put it over there and carefully try and take off with the handbrake/brake on to try and put some load on everything while someone stands under the car and looks/listens for noises Be careful obviously

I approve of this.....

Obviously its not holding the head on the block, but as far as I'm concerned, if its their you may as well use it. MLS gaskets need a good seal, every little bit helps Are the other 2 installed? I can't remember which way around it is but there is either 2 at the rear and 1 at the front or vise-versa

Ring an import wrecker and get a compressor off them, if they say they have one that looks better/is known working and they want $50-$75 more then one that they are not real sure about, then go for the known working one. They can be had new/recon but they are a bit hard to find and can be a little pricey. Had a mate that went through all of this on a 32 and ended up costing him close to $2000 Before you put the new Compressor on, get a full flush on the system and then have it vacced down for leaks. New reciever drier if its all good and put the A/C Compressor in and get it gassed. If there is damage anywhere else in the system (condensor, evaporator, lines) you will notice either during flushing or when the system is vacced. But any good auto electrical and air conditioning workshop should be able to do this all no worries anyway

So a 91 or 95 octane fuel (E10) is better then a 105 octane fuel (E85)? Whatever the case is with the RON of E10, I think there is no doubt they wont be using their 'best of the batch' 91 octane fuel in it E10 is not better. If you think its better, why arent you putting it in your car? go and do it, tell me how that goes. I've used it in N/A Cars and performance and economy both suffered.
-
What grade are you in?
-
AFAIK E10 is shitty fuel mixed with 10% ethanol to bring the RON up to 91. Therefore it is no better than 91 octane, it just burns a tiny bit cleaner and is cheaper. I have never heard anyone who has enjoyed running their car on e10. Everyone has said the car runs worse myself included when I ran it in my old VL Calais. Honestly the difference between filling with e10 and 95 price wise, only amounts to a few dollars when the tank is full. If you cant afford an extra $10 or so to fill with 98, why did you buy a skyline?

Are Z32 And R32/33/34 Sun Frame Bushes The Same?
89CAL replied to Rob260's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Yes..... It turns out the internet can tell you: Here -
Yeah I was thinking of converting to BF4. COD hasnt been anywhere near as good since MW3, at least BO2 had zombies but Ghosts is a bit of a disapointment I was looking at Killzone before I bought NFS. Kinda wish I'd gone with Killzone but wanted a racing game. Disapointing lol

were you having similar issues? -
My PS4 turned up the other day and I decided to spend the $10 buying the conversion for COD: Ghosts so I would have something to play, even though I never really liked it on PS3. It is much nicer on the PS4, but wasnt much more enjoyable then it was on PS3 Decided to go out and buy a new game today, ended up getting NFS Rivals from Kmart for a decent price However its not that great, the NFS series seems to have lost alot of its appeal lately, and seen as the PS4 games are still resonably expensive and there isnt a great deal out, thought it would be a good idea to start a thread and see what people are playing and what games are worth getting Having a look on the PS4 site, looking for games, had a look at 'Float' I think it was. What a load of crap that looks like Anyway. NFS: Rivals, not fantastic. OK for a bit of fun, but overall its nowhere near as good as Shift or the old underground games.
