PPG 6 speed Sequential for GTR
Piggaz replied to SimonR32's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
I bought mine when they dropped the price to $19,800. That doesn’t include the housing, shipping or assembly. It has gone back upto the “normal” price again. -
Bugger boost levels. Whatever gives the most Nm. 300 Nm and 2 psi is better than 150 Nm and 17 psi. But Boost is higher so must be better yeah? ?

No clutch. No installation. No tuning. You get that. -
How modified is your head? How big is your exhaust? Where are the cams set? (Mine are 0/0) Finalise the tune and see what happens. Whats holding the final tune up? It’s been ages!
-
How does VCT not running “for years” NOT get noticed? How does a car get let out the door “for years” with VCT not working? Who tunes this thing? They should be sacked! That’s so far BELOW apart! What else is wrong with the setup? The 7670 is not this “big Monster” snail and CANNOT be compared to a 8374. It’s 64 lb/min vs 79 lb/ min. The Evo 9 guys go from a stock snail, whack a 7670/1.05 on and they say it drives like the factory turbo. My 2.8 Static cam/8374/1.05 is “all in” at 3500 RPM in second. Your 2.8/VCT/7670 should be WELL earlier than that! Something is wrong!

All said and done (if you get them to assemble it which was $1,700 alone), it’s about $23,500. That includes supplying your own case, shipping from SA to Sydney. Not cheap by any means. -
Have to ask Scott, he overseen it all. (The car isn’t at home at the moment). His whole thing was to have the hoses as short as possible/not have a MAP sensor on the board with 2 meters of vacuum hose running inside the cabin.
-
I’m running pre/post MAP sensors and didn’t have to drill and tap anything. It can be done. Short little hoses to the source.
-
Are you going pre/post throttle MAP sensors with the KV8?

Great things happen when you pull half the weight out of the heavy side. -

Have you considered that maybe the compressor wheel might NOT be the problem? The GT RS sucked, the 2540 sucked, that 2535 (69 mm exducer) will suck also. They all have the same bloody turbines. Maybe you should supercharge it. You don’t seem to give any thought to the other side of the turbocharger which seems to be a common idea around here. You can throw as much shiny compressor at it as you want. ?. Honestly, bin this twin turbo junk. Cut your losses and move on! T4 Twin scroll GTX 3582/1.01 OR EFR 8374/1.05. It will punch the hell out of all this trash you’re trying. -

Question regarding silicone Intake piping
Piggaz replied to Ty1's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Weld an alloy pipe on it or buy a whole heap of silicon joiners so you can replace them every time one fails. A bit of silicon doesn’t belong 10 mm from an exhaust manifold, period. I really think you know that though. ? Clock your compressor cover and redo the piping. JOB DONE! -

If I wanted to listen to a busted pelicans ass I’d go down to the local boat ramp and feed the things. One great way to ruin a car is listening to that dribble! -
