I keep hearing about these twin EFR results on but yet to see any that really stand out. Have you got some results of RB or 2J 6258/6758/7163 twin setups handy that you can throw up? Twin 6258’s or 6758’s are still quite a lot of airflow and the 67’s outflow a 9180 (Atleast according to the compressor maps).

It was E MAP related. Hitting 360 kpa. Hoping to drop that somewhat. However, don’t need a pressure sensor to tell how much better the engine breathes compared to the twins. The engine note tells you that!

EGT’s weren’t getting high... we had 360 kpa exhaust pressure. However, coming on (sub 4000 rpm) it was compressor surging. So if we are “holding it back” early on, why not give it a bigger ass and let it sing up top. Can’t have it either way. God knows how the 0.92 guys are going. If I had a 0.92 on my engine it would have been a total waste of time.

Got the 1.45 A/R turbine housing on the 8374 this week. Compressor surge was getting quite bad in the cold weather even trying to “hold the turbo back”. It will also mean we don’t have to pull boost out in the top end too. Will will see by how much exhaust pressure drops too. God it’s big! Borg Warner and their housings the size of small planets! Gonna have to have a look at the exhaust cam cover and see what I can do with it and get the turbine beanie on. Needs a longer water line which will be done on Monday. Dump pipe had to be trimmed 8 mm.

The stock copper lines have done well for 25 years. Was it an installation issue?

Nismo cooler was purchased May 2011 so it’s not “that old”. I believe Hypertune were looking into a cast end tank. Not sure if it has happened, I haven’t seen one to date. The pics of that 33 look familiar ??

What fuel pump do you have? What size is the return line? Is there any kinks in the return line? What size is the outlet of the reg? Knock off regs is just asking for trouble. It’s kind of important.

Johnny, isn’t the whole idea of a surge tank to have it full ALL THE TIME? Not 3/4, half sloppy around tank, empty at the end of the straight then turn into turn one, when you NEED IT! Why not just run twin intank pumps? Defeated the purpose of a surge tank IMO if it’s not full all the time. ? walbro 460 lift pump. The surge tank comes with -8 sized threads. Bit silly to go from -8 and pay for a a -8 to -6 adapter. Keep it -8 and put a bigger lift in it. You have 2x 460’s emptying the surge tank.

What if there is very little/no fuel coming back from the surge tank. Sensor gets no fuel flow, reading goes stupid, engine doesn’t know what ethanol content it is. Not a smart place for it IMO. Have seen it on another car and funnily enough it got moved.

Put a 1-2psi valve in the by pass. That way the sensor gets all the fuel it needs and as soon as there is a slight rise in pressure, the excess goes via the by pass.

I hope it’s going back on the dyno now that all the exhaust gas is making it to the snail and not exiting stage left before it! The “big turbo” won’t feel as big now. ? -

Need a single. Don’t have to worry about equal length wanker junk. More power everywhere, better transient, just put one on it. Waste of money.
