  1. Says th bloke that has a 8374 hanging off his donk. ?
  2. Buy a R35 and wind it up on stock snails OR a 911 Turbo. DONE!
  3. A decent full effort head costs as much as the bottom end. That’s where the last 15% of performance is found. Depends on how much that last bit is worth to you. Sort it out Pete!
  4. Stock head no. Depends on what you want, what you’re happy with. Having driven both, I would want my cake and eat it too. If the engine ever comes out I’ll throw a V cam at it and possibly bump the compression up a tad higher. Cake and eat it too?
  5. 1.45 has its place. Did the Huntley hill climb today and just doodling through it at a corner that I had huge issues with the twins, it was ready to turn tyres. I won’t be going back to the 1.05. Sub 3000 RPM there is Definately a penalty to pay, it feels a bit “soft”, from 4000 RPM it’s fine. If you’re “driving it” it’s all there. The 0.92 IMO should be made redundant IMO. No need for it. Still well infront is the -5’s that we’re on it either way.
  6. 2.8, heavily modified head, e85 fuel. 128k is the max for the 8374 from memory.
  7. Piss it in. 8374/1.45 on my setup went 517 AWKW at 122,000 turbine RPM. 490 AWKW with the 1.05 bum.
  8. Don’t expect the snails to last long at this level.
  9. So what does the mod list look like? ?
  10. 2-300 RPM I reckon. Totally unsure which one I like to be honest. The 1.05 was “so right”. More Kms needed.
  11. The box is quite pleasant to drive to be honest, you just can’t drive it like a synchro box. No need to justify anything lol. Could sit in the garage for all I care.
  12. In the garage on the trickle charger. ? Drive it every couple of weeks and just getting used to the box. Low speed, low rpm shifting without the clutch without making it go BANG/CRASH. Getting there ?. Wont be touching it again for a very long time. The level of “over it” is very high. With the 1.45 housing it went 517 AWKW, up from 486. Turbine speed remained the same at 122,000 RPM.
  13. 600 kw at the treads, give or take. Do it ?
  14. What kind of exhaust pressure increase are you seeing on the 9174 over the 8374 for a given turbine housing size/engine combo?
  15. Stock Evo 9 2.0/4G63 with a 7670/1.05. Big turbo isn’t that big.
  16. Going to run the dry sump lines through the cabin or under the car?
  17. Garrett need to hurry up with their larger frame G series. 3582 size with decent T4 TS housings. ?
  18. Via PM ?
  19. All the comparisons? What have you compared? What did you find?
