  1. This happened back in 2007-2008 with aussie muscle cars. I've been saying for last 2-3 years it will drop, waiting for a heap to flood the market as a lot of people borrowed/financed cars and need to shift them to clear debt for the impending financial apocalypse 😂🤣 If you paid $10K (USd or Aud) it is super cheap like 2008 prices. Be happy that you got one for that price and enjoy it.
  2. should decorate the 33 like one of their trucks 😁😅 Nice, if you want to get on track with out worrying about walls or lots of wear. Check out skid control we run plenty of different events. https://skidcontrol.com.au/
  3. Nice, will look good on a white car.
  4. if you wanted to make it a bit more compact, could mount it all to that metal strap holding the jerry. Well if want to get a bit fancy could use an arduino with a timing program controlling a relay for the pump and have a float switch for just in case theres a leak as safety. A water trap and filter before the pump then a filter in the return to the jerry would be the best way as get any junk and remove the moisture.
  5. Looking forward to seeing the results of this upgrade. Are you going to be also setting up full traction control too now you have the wheel speed sensors?
  6. what brakes? From a quick mock up I am able to get my evo brembo setup (evo 10 rotor) under my 17x9 +22 Te37
  7. thats the worst part waiting on parts. Guessing something pretty decent too
  8. Damn that head is looking good if you need someone to do some testing happy to slap it on one of my motors 😁
  9. Back into this car now to get ready for a rescheduled Mt Morgan Goldrush Hill climb. First hit of the key and started straight up. oil pressure around 36-40 psi 😅 Engine coming out again since rebuild, this is the third time... Found the low oil pressure issue. 2 spun rod bearings.... this did run in on dyno and a few street runs, did not even knock I reckon I stuffed up when assembling. I'm sticking to wiring & ecu setup from now on 😅 Bought this to go into a new car but I want to go racing so will be swapping all the manifolds and bits over, hoping to have it in by Friday night. Going to redo a few oil lines while there too. Run down on the new motor: sr20 CP piston 86.5mm spool rods balanced & grub screwed crank ported head kelford cams 188a and Valve springs ross balancer 5-0 ignite trigger kit Pretty much copy of old engine plus cams and built by a shop. Need to build a tool to pressurize oil system to 70psi so can have warranty. Got an old nitrogen bottle, fittings & reg that I'll mcgyver together. Also got a new set of MCA reds to go in so should have all the good gear to be a reliable all rounder again. Was also going to have a go at dirt rally navigating. Spent a few weeks sorting the car out but the Rally Queensland got rained out so will have to wait and see what event will be able to do next. Took the cars for a run through town for a bit of fun.
  10. Welcome, Lots of information here, get a build thread going for it https://www.sau.com.au/forums/forum/190-projects-overhauls-and-build-ups/
  11. Honestly nothing beats the nostalgia of driving 90's cars. They aren't perfect but I do enjoy them the same thing when we drive the HQ. Newer stuff is great but is a bit souless.
  12. yeah don't sell, I regretted selling my sil80 after a few weeks. At least I got to buy it back last week.
  13. Funny you say that as a mate with a r34 800hp sequential is about to sell and get the porsche. The GT3 is generations ahead and does everything much nicer. *I have driven the GT3 pdk and been in said r34 a lot. Porsche gt3 > R34800hp gtr
  14. Welcome, Facenovel groups are the worst. Yeah NS was a big loss of all the s chassis information and the build threads. Good to see another long term owner, OEM+ seems to be the way to go with modding these days.
  15. something like 50% Tps, 3000 rpm and 5-6psi is roughly what I use in the Link so I don't fill it everytime I drive.
  16. I have been wanting to use an AFM/MAF with a Haltech to see what can be achieved as tuning supercharged Gen 4 LS based stuff makes the drivability and economy pretty good using AFM and Map based VE
  17. Yeah thats new pricing, slap in the manual, get it run in and tested then go to the "Flappy Paddle" gearbox
  18. Thank you for sharing this info. Get those intake temps down and will see even more. Whats the difference in drivabilty? Currently deciding between GTX and G series
  19. I saw on one of the HGT tuning facenovel pages someone has adapted a r33 gtr transfer case to one in the UK in what I think is a sierra.
  20. I've been emailing Decs from Mectric Motorsport and he said the Praetor PTC won't be available until mid next year ATM. Seen that Race Services have HGT in stock https://www.raceservice.com.au/product-category/dct-conversions/ but at that price I would rather wait as still issues with HGT. Rather support a local business/person with a history of doing good work. At the moment I'm going to give the getrag DCT/ZF a miss and go cd00* while support/products become more available.
  21. ^^^^this Also a custom exhaust will sit a lot higher and nicer than a off shelf jap item. The Jap one will be cheaper then add freight, fitting and cost to go get the custom exhaust in the end.
  22. Good job on the render, can be a pain to do. Have you bought a controller yet for the gearbox? I've tried the ones mentioned but either out of stock or no replys. I'm about to start looking into an Emtron or syvecs as I think Whifbitz in the UK originally were using them for gearbox control.
  23. Nice review, looking forward to track tests. I've now driven a few cars with the endless ME20 pad. All Track only Very good initial bite from cold and super consistant for over 10 laps at Lakeside and 5-6 laps at Morgan Park. All cars were using dba standard replacement and either Gulf or Penrite 600f fluid
