  1. pretty sure it wont fit in with standard plenum....if it would there would be a billion kits available
  2. no mine is a 33 gtst head. but i have fitted a china front facing plenum - and they have both side feed and top feed injector fuel rails readily available. Since the current onces are very maxxed out, I will fit the gtr injectors + top mount fuel rail.
  3. I do have a towbar from Max, and he rates it to 2000kg....but he recommends having it engineered once on the car..... I didn't bother because it is far from the only un-engineered thing on my car
  4. no special challenge in my motor either....it runs 12psi not 30 or 40! And built with quite tight clearances (less power but more time between rebuilds). It really doesn't breathe at all. But FWIW...I have nitto pump, oil return at the rear of the head, enlarged block oil returns, restrictor in head oil feed, standard cam cover baffles with fuel cell foam behind, small oil/air seperator above motor, and catch can in the engine bay.
  5. I would hope his car doesn't have oil pressure problems over the 8 or 9 seconds it runs!
  6. just another state laws of physics difference....just like NSW has a SBS problem
  7. I would expect the exact opposite....why would a small aftermarket manufacturer be able to make something that manages complex harmonics better than Nissan's engineers? Most factory balancers might be rubbish due to age, but at least you know they were designed and researched for that exact use.
  8. I'm sure any releif spring can be modified to open earlier or later. it has given me some problems with smokey bush bearing turbos, I'm sure ball bearing ones would already have an appropriate restrictor
  9. was the n1 pump the cause or the symtom of the failure? anyway, I run a nitto pump now, it has survived 3 rebuilds with just a clean and re-assembly. It provides a little too much pressure per rev until the releif valve opens but that is better than less. If you fit one make sure you run oil restrictors to the head and turbos
  10. In and paid,.....will be great Jimmy we love you jimmy!
  11. don't space up the rer of the bonnet, that i s just a silly ricer fad. the rear of the bonnet is a high pressure area so it acts as an intake not an exhaust for air. have a look where nascars run their airbox intake....bottom of the windscreen
  12. did they actually defect you? no such thing as "positive" rebound...there is only rebound and bump. or compression and extension. or whatever. but not positive rebound
  13. absolutely correct. 32 gtr has no engine light so PFC uses the cat temp light for all functions like knock, sensor out of range etc etc
  14. don't do anything to the r33. use it on the road where it is meant to be. spend 6 months saving and building the car you bought as a race car, keep it simple and reliable as possible. once it is fixed, do lots of track days, lots of practice
  15. that is very sad to hear. I've got 6 stands of that style....not sure if the recall relates to a manufacturing issue in their product, or a general issue with that ratcheting style?
  16. I've done this before with no issues. But replacement parts would be even better
  17. maybe the seals on one of those connecting holes is blown. btw why did a "mechanic" put more than 2l of oil in a transfer case?
  18. Yeah my gtr race car is insured with shannons for $35k agreed. It is on a limited klm (less than 5000klm) policy and comes in at a couple of hundred a year from memory. And I have claimed a windscreen on it a few years back no problems
  19. I have run both but am not sure my results are typical. I've been assured the pads are very similar, and I used them in slightly different setups on the same car....but I found the ht10 terrible and the dtc60 excellent (see avatar.....). Maybe iI was above the upper limit of the ht10 but under the limit for dtc60. In any case, I would buy the dtc60 again in a heartbeat if they made them for my current caliper....the dtc60 in gtr brembos gave me better fade resistance and feel than my current porsche brembo/sbs dual carbon setup which is a fiar bit larger.
  20. thanks for clarifying stu
  21. just a baseless assumption, based on the number of cars in aus and how long they have been sitting around.
  22. um yeah I got there but the injectors peaked at 99%. Probably smarter to stop at 235/240ish. I'm putting gtr injectors in now to get plenty of headroom
  23. lol my paint skills are leet
  24. nope...for some unknown reason that is how nissan made it!
