  1. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/440096-clearance-sale-holford-motors/ see if they've got any of the rear upgrade kits left...the price can't be beat efil4ziggan
  2. now we're getting to that heart of the matter hahah, nothing wrong with that as long as you're aware of it and that it isn't going to make the braking difference you're after.
  3. up to you of course, I found it pretty easy. The master cyclinder brace I consider about the least-needed upgrade, I noticed no difference.
  4. they are freakin excellent quality, very impressed. I used the 15mm slip-on spacers with longer wheel studs, all good.
  5. I had one of these, good unit, brought boost on quickly. Issue I had was you have to press the 2 buttons at once for some settings and it wouldn't always register at the same time, so any "learned" setting in the closed-loop mode kept getting erased. They don't register vacc on the display, only boost, so you might want to keep your gauge anyway, if that matters to you. Can't remember on the rpm wire but don't recall it being hard to find/do.
  6. back to the OP - having convinced myself 3 times in the past, 'oh yeah buy those slotted rotors, I want to upgrade the brakes', there's no point, unless the diameter of the disc increases by a significant amount. Advertising promises of better braking through gas disbursement etc, is just that, advertisin, I have noticed SFA difference from just slotted/drilled rotors.
  7. hahah knew that would come up they're still going strong though, the metal removed makes no difference and solid as a rock. They're still left with more meat than lightweight racing calipers (more than my Wilwoods anyway) GK Tech sell the caliper adapters, easy enough to do.
  8. If you'e buying new discs, buy caliper adapters, run gtr discs = big difference. Best bang for buck upgrade IMO
  9. I Thought auto and manual starters were different, but not something i'd looked into that much to say for sure.
  10. they're not side specific, one side fits all.
  11. does the second hand still work?
  12. if you find out let me know. I believe the pulley has a star-lug and pressed on but the issue would be, the harmonic balancer track would still be different to the p/s pulley if you changed the no. of ribs.
  13. sounds like a racist.
  14. nice mate, welding's looking neat.
  15. if the cheapass saas, monza, autotechnica etc seats can be adr approved it would be hard to see why the decent bride seats couldn't be. Would need to be quick-tilt type for 2doors though, soemthing about ease of exit in emergency...that's about all i know on it though
  16. oh and a stud is a stud, a bolt is a bolt....no 'stud bolts' as far as i am aware..
  17. Gktech might have them back in stock. I got mine from tas autosport off ebay thou, about $6 each i think? But i think front is 13.sonething shoulder. 12 is rear?
  18. nice LA and SF shots mate, Golden Gate bridge looks awesome.... doing a road trip thru that part of the world has been on my list for a long time.
  19. He's not using the turbosmart eboost. He's using the profec.....which recommends set gain a cpl of psi below target boost. Why would he follow the instructions of a different manufacturer for a completely different boost controller rather than that of the one he is using...?
  20. if your target boost is 11psi you can probably bring up the set gain from 70 (7psi) to 90 or 95, bit closer to your desired boost level.
  21. sure, well corner referred to is kind of a ? mark shape, entered from the curve-end. When getting back on throttle coming round 90deg section off to the left, the 'transitional' feeling during weight transfer one side to the other was reduced and a more solid feel to the rear end when applying power, as a basic explanation. Some people might be less sensitive to this than others...
  22. Actually it is famous for being " the car of the people", first made on Germany in the 1930's, designed to be longlasting, reliable and easily affordable transport for everyday people. It's just that alot of people don't know that, as at the time it was made with a different body and engine to the AE86 and by a different manufacturer.
  23. I have one, brisbane northside, in relatively good cond (relative to one in shit condition) couple of neatly drilled holes to run bc coilver adjusters thru but otherwise pearler.
  24. so it's fair to say you're giving them a "glowing' review....? hehehehe.........yep, you get it.
