  1. You knew what i meant!
  2. What you are talking about is degreeing the cam gears and is an excellent idea....... if you are willing to pay someone competent to do it or you have the know how and specialised equipment to complete the task yourself. When doing a standard 20/25/26 you just use the stock timing marks, because when you align all 3 marks everything is where it should be. It gets a little tricky when using the RB30 bottom end as the timing marks get thrown out a little due to the extra deck hight of the block. People on here tend to think that both cams (when using stock 25 timing marks) become about 4deg retarded. It was my intention to pay someone to degree mine in to get a completely accurate result but i sort of just ran out of time and money so that idea went out the window. I found the near enough was good enough and am just continuing to use the standard RB25 timing marks, and when my car next goes on the dyno i will advance the cam gears 4deg per side and see if that bring power on a little earlier, confirming when i read. Then myself and the tuner will play around so try and bring the power on as soon as possible.
  3. I purchased an R34 GT-T gearbox and the dude who owned it before me was running an OS Giken push-pull clutch converter and said he had no issues with the thing. Never had any first had experience with them though. I would personally just stay with push type though, there is no real point going to pull type, especially if your car is just a street car.
  4. Post a pic in here of the clutch slave cylinder. If the slave is on the front side of the clutch fork (IE slave is on the front side of the car) then it is a push type clutch arrangement. If it is sitting behind the clutch fork then it is a pull type clutch.
  5. Just forkout for a genuine RB25 water pump. It will be good for the life of your car (i'm just going to go ahead and assume you will sell it or kill it before you put 100,00 on the clock) is $220 really that much? People on here have used the GMB pumps with success but personally i would just shell out for a 25 pump.
  6. Nope has 5x 10mm bolts holding it on.
  7. I'll do you a favour and straight swap for a Datsun 120Y with a 6.2L LS3 in it. Should be pretty responsive. Win win for both of us.
  8. Yep I bought my intake cam gear ring (needed so you can adjust from the front) from Ben and it works perfect. Would absolutely recommend if you are ever taking cam gear off for any reason.
  9. Not much mate. It is completely disassembled and everything out of it is all boxed up and labeled. Can put it on a pallet and send it no worries. P
  10. Hey mate I have a neo bottom end and intake manifold for sale if you want. Located newcastle.
  11. Why are you using BF falcon knock sensors?
  12. But confused what your question is mate. If you mean adjustable cam gears then the answer is yes, I'm using an aftermarket exhaust cam gear and a standard nissan intake cam gear but modified so that it is adjustable from the front (IE don't have to take the cam gear off to adjust it). But to get the crank and cams in the right spot is easy, just leave them in the correct spot. They don't move once you take the timing belt off. But since you are assembling the engine just use a 27mm socket to move the crank and a 27mm spanner on the cams to locate them.
  13. So are you looking for the rear belts? I have (I think) a complete set from my r32 coupe. No idea on condition though.
  14. Correct. This is how I was able to tell.
  15. That pic you posted is a neo head.
  16. Take it to Jez and I can absolutely guarentee that you will be 100% happier how it drives
  17. Bead roll the intercooler piping, get rid of those t bar clamps and get good hose clamps (Norma clamps) and you won't ever have an issue.
  18. Yes it should stay clean if inside your timing cover is clean and your cam seals don't leak. It would only be 3/4 bolts to take it off.
  19. I think they use the Synapse gates, same as Kiwi
  20. Enough force on the ratchet and you can make it a hybrid.
  21. As stated. Any bonnet for R32 as close to newcastle NSW as possible. Cheers.
  22. Yep ADM 200SX came with 3.7 and 3.9's
  23. No worries mate just ring him ahead of time and see what time suits as he is always extremely busy (which is a good sign!) I know he will be able to help you out
