Hi all. First off, RB25/30, Hypergear SS2, 20psi, E85, 45mm external gate. Car will be driven on the street semi-regularly and will do as many drift days a year as possible (probably 6-7) I had originally planned on getting an Adaptronic and converting to MAP sensor for this build, but cash is very limited at the moment so now i am asking you guys for your advice. I already have a NIStune and a Z32 AFM, so i am thinking i may stick with that setup. I do have some questions though; > Would a Z32 max out at 400kw on a 3 litre bottom end? > Is there any issues running the AFM in the cooler piping? I don't think i really need any of the features the adaptronic offers, the only thing i am unsure about if the ability of the nistune to keep the engine safe in undesirable conditions as it doesn't have any spare inputs for oil temp/pressure etc. I guess i will just have to do it the old fashioned way and keep an eye on my guages! Just trying to figure out where my money is best spent, and i think the NIStune will do the job fine provided the Z32 AFM won't be a restriction. Thanks guys

Excellent cheers mani! Also, any more video of your car man? I'm addicted to how well that thing destroys tyres haha

Did you use 2x ARP SR20 rod bolts (which are apparently exactly the same size as RB30)? Had a quick google before and it seems ARP don't sell RB30 rod bolts
-
Also is this still correct? As i am going highmount i need to get a new oil feed line made. so a -4 AN oil feed hose with no restrictor in it will be fine for the SS2?
-
Hey stao, My SS2 was internal gate, now going external gate. Am i best to buy a blanking backing plate from you or should i buy an actual external gate rear housing? I remember someone saying the other day the the cut out for the IWG flapper would affect rear housing flow or something similar? As im running it on an RB30DET flow is already going to be an issue so trying to make the best of this situation Cheers mate.

Vct Controller? Like V-Tec Controller For Rb Engines
iruvyouskyrine replied to adam96's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Wat? If it is active 100% of the time then it is absolutely pointless. -
I believe KiwiRS4T meant he should get ARP or similar rod bolts not conrods...

Anyone from Newy going to DCA in coffs tomorrow?

Biggest thread necro i have seen in a long time, good on you for searching though! And my 2 cents is that they would look nice on a 32, dont know about 33/34. The XR6 rims look nice on S13's.

Towing With The C34 Stagea - Our Experience
iruvyouskyrine replied to C34S2STAG's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
More info about the "MV upgrades" please justin? As someone who has only ever towed cars with a manual 4.2TD Landcruiser i am new to the whole automatic side of things haha. I thought a decently sized trans cooler would be sufficient? -
Prixcar Transport Services? Any Experiences?
iruvyouskyrine replied to camoo's topic in New South Wales
I used CEVA and when I received the car back I found the rear exhaust hangar broken and replaced with a coat hangar. The dump pipe also looked like this. At no point did they mention this to me, I had to find out myself. -
Not near my computer for a day or two but will check when I can for you mate.

Deleting Rb30 Water Lines
iruvyouskyrine replied to Looney_Head's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I believe this questions was asked a while ago and XKALABA or GTRPSI (can't exactly remember) said that yes, those lines are able to be blocked. My plan was to link the two using the standard hose, and use the small fitting on the rear bard as water feed for my turbo. Any info by people more experienced is welcome! -
Prixcar Transport Services? Any Experiences?
iruvyouskyrine replied to camoo's topic in New South Wales
Had my car moved from SA to NSW with prixcar. Nothing out of the ordinary really, they picked the car up no issue and it arrived no different than it had been picked up. Would recommend them. -
Haha fuark that. When i was originally putting the Neo in that's what it was like for me, only had access to it for maybe 5-6 hours a week. I had no idea what i was doing so i spent 4 of those hours standing there looking at it trying to figure out what i was doing hahaha. I am glad i have some sort of clue now Yeah it scared the shit out of me too man, but i just jumped in and had a crack! I just spent ages looking through the wiring diagrams and reading the service manual figuring out exactly what every component did, then deciding if it was need to run or not. It took me maybe 8 hours of finding what was what and if it was staying or going, and then another good few hours wrapping everything in the braided wrap. Now it's just a matter of fingers corssed and hope it all works! Have been away for work all this month, back on the 27th and then off again to New Zealand early in July. Hopefully i can get the engine assembled between then, that way when i get back from NZ i can focus on getting it running I think i have almost everything i need now except a fuel pressure regulator and i need another 7psi wastegate spring, oh and still need to get the ECU. Big things happening soon hopefully!

iruvyouskyrine replied to comarcus93's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Hi Cory, I can get you on to a few guys in Mount Gambier who would more than likely help you out rather than take it to a mechanic straight up. Drop me a PM if you want mate -
