  1. Yeah you can put a manual box in with an auto spigot. The auto box input shaft diameter is quite a bit larger than the manual one.
  2. I made 197kw with RB25 turbo, standard injectors and AFM on DVS JEZ who has a DynoTech.
  3. Speaking to Matt last night, he said the feature pack should be out for R34 next week. Buuuuuuuut. I think I'm pretty set on going adaptronic now >_
  4. Whats everyone getting as an average economy C34 wise? Looking at a S1 auto and im hoping it will be better than my SS ute, $90 gets you about 420km with 65L tank
  5. I'm running the same clutch and have nothing but positive experiences to share.
  6. There was no confusion, they were being pedantic. Ben and GTSboy don't like people asking easy-to-answer-should-have-searched questions, and how to remove the harmonic balancer falls into one of those baskets. On my RB20 the crank sprocket came off with a light tap with a hammer just to loosen it. My RB30 was f**king impossible to get off no matter how hard i tried (blowtorch/hammer/lever bar/gear puller). My RB25 one was easy after some degreaser and a tap with the hammer, still required lever bars, but not too much pressure. I was told to drill and tap holes into it and use a puller of some sort to remove it. Can get a replacement item here http://www.kudosmotorsports.com/catalog/genuine-nissan-pitwork-crankshaft-sprocket-kit-genuine-nissan-nissan-skyline-r32-gts-gts25-gts4-gtst-r33-gts25-gts25t-gts4-r34-25gt-25gt4-25gtt-p-1197.html But first thing i would check is the Woodruff key is parallel to the snout of the crank. If it has been hit and it sitting proud of the keyway in the sprocket it will never come off. Might be tricky to understand what im saying, but this picture should help. Just have a good look at it and you should understand what i mean.
  7. So the extra deck height of the RB30 won't throw out the timing marks on the cam backing cover? Looking to start my engine soon and i was worried about the timing being out. I have aligned everything perfectly (cam gears to backing plate and crank sprocket to oil pump markings) but just want to be absolutely sure that i have it correct. Thinking about getting a professional mechanic to degree my (stnadard) cam gears just to make sure timing is 100% spot on.
  8. Just checked it out mate looks nuts! Need more close up/in car video though!
  9. What's an average amount less for cold results? I know it's hard to say, but just an average amount.
  10. I have always been told to do it with the throttle open too, not sure if it makes any difference or not. I assume it just makes it easier for the engine to get air to compress.
  11. Ummm. You realise that the external gate has exhaust gasses flowing through it and is welded to either the exhaust manifold or the rear turbo housing? They withstand an incredible amount of heat. You can even get water cooled gates.
  12. I always assumed it worked via engine load not VSS, but obviously it uses a combination of that as you said. I did wonder if the speedo cable was able to drive a tacho generator and therefore the ECU was still receiving a VSS input, but i honestly wasn't sure.
  13. I will be having the same problem. I have already used the smurfs blood in the box and was told i would have trouble flushing it out. I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that mixing oild would be bad, so i may just stick to using the lightweight shockproof.
  14. It wasn't set on speed trigger zero, cannot remember exactly when it came on, but it wasn't constantly on. Tuned by Trent for Chequered tuning if anyone knows how he usually sets these things up.
  15. Neo with NIStune ECU, 25 box with navara mechanical speedo sender. My VCT worked and my cluster did not.
  16. You mean the speedo cluster? It is not required for the operation of VCT. Also 'plug-in' aftermarket ECU's will retain the VCT funciton, but if you use a NIStune ECU you need an RB20 or Z32 ECU and a window switch to control VCT.
  17. BCPR6ES
  18. Have heard so many mixed reports about Redline Shockproof lightweight. Its a 50/50 split of people saying it destroys synchros and the other half act as if it is a gift from god. sweefu asked a good question, does anyone have any info about it rating as a GL4/GL5 oil?
  19. Yep same story with my plate. No idea if degreaser was used (probably was at some point you would asume) but the blue paint (?) on the VIN plate has started to peel off.
  20. My method of installing bolts. Does this bolt fit? > Yes > put it in and tighten it to FT spec > No > don't use it Do I have another one that fits? > Yes > Use that one then > No > ......where did I put my tap and die kit....
  21. I know someone who would be keen, will let him know
  22. Series 1 (metal) CAS is not interchangeable with series 2 (plastic)
