because it doesn't make the whoooosshhhh tshu thus sttsuhuhuhuthshsuhuth sound. Didn't someone make over 400 kw with stock air box recently?
-
they all have a bit of oil in them, its most likely caused by positive crank case pressure which results in the oil air breather to spit oil into the intake of the turbo, then it throws it out the hot side, and because it only throws out such small amounts its not going to travel all the way to the IC. when i pulled my old 180 apart the oil was all through the IC and everywhere. I'd say its fine for a while, if you have plans on doing a new turbo + injectors + ecu etc then don't worry about it, save up and buy those things, don't waste money on factory turbo seals lol. EDIT - What ben said ( beat me too it haha)

if the pods inside the front bar then it will probably suck up water when it rains. cold air box and run a pipe to it.

Electronic Boost Controller Help !
vetter2769 replied to KenR34's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I'm in Geelong and I'll do it for a slab of CC and dry! -
best solution is to get a windscreen with aerial in it... I'm sure you dont need me to tell you that you can buy a antenna and attach it to your car.
-
you don't plug it into anything mate, you need to read the linked thread, theres a wire that needs power to "activate" the antenna.

Playstation 4 - What Games Do You Rate?
vetter2769 replied to 89CAL's topic in PC & Games Discussion
So a bit of feed back on "evil within" - Its fkn terrible. If you can buy it for under $40 then thats about all its worth. I got through the first chapter, some parts didn't make sense, like I got chased by a guy with a chainsaw then instead of cutting me to pieces he puts a small knick in my leg so I'm able to limp away and escape.... then I went to play chapter 2, but it told me it hadn't loaded yet, ended up waiting 45 minutes for it to load!!! wtf!!! after that chapter 3 was the same!! thats about as far as i got. otherwise graphics 8/10 story line 6/10 scare factor - 9/10 - especially on a 200 inch projector with surround sound at midnight! I got it on ebay for $35 earlier that day I saw it in EB games for $99 -
I might try and bring some skyline owners up from Geelong, I'll keep you posted
-
it is very nice! So im guessing it uses closed loop function on the nistune instead of the lambda narrow band? Obviously the wideband is much more accurate than the lambda.

Just got my hands on "evil within" It looks amazballs. so keen to play it. I bought my ps4 3 months ago, it came with a free game - kill zone I bought sleeping dogs and BF4 I took the clear plastic of killzone today and played it for the first time while waiting for evil within to download, It actually wasn't all that bad....... for a free game, can't imagine anyone actually paying money for it. best game this year - The last of us wins hands down! Keen for the new Gran Turismo and +1 for G27 + ps4 support. -
Price Inquiry R34 Gtv
vetter2769 replied to miskyline94's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Looks fair clean mate, but because it was owned by a P plater, I would never buy it unless the price was attractive.. like under 10k All honesty aside from that, the body looks fantastic and assuming everything runs fine and no issues with the engine id say anywhere between 11-13k also would depend on a buyer, perhaps a P plater who is obsessed with GTR's but won't be able to afford one till they are 50 might pay 13k for it. so thats based on that, thats my answer - between 11-13k. Cheers - Dan P.S you can always ask a private assessor for an evaluation, I know its not a common vehicle but have you tried rebook.com? -
All good mate, I guess they could list where they got it done and what they had done, but for more information people usually start build threads.
-
yeah the occasional glance to make sure everything is ok is about all its good for. I can set alarms on it incase it goes too rich/lean. Cheers mate.

Thanks mate, I never bought the gauge with the intention to data log in the first place, but because it mentioned that it came with it, I was hoping it would be relatively easy to do it. I will keep the gauge and I probably won't tune my car myself, if I do, it will only me minor adjustments till I get my nistune or power fc. Thanks to those that responded

WHAT Are you in VIC? is the head unit stock? do they sell aux cables for that head unit? - have you googled it type in google - car audio places closest to me, and then take it to one of those guys. otherwise I'm in Geelong and would be able to help typically you can't just "plug one in" to a standard H/U in that case a new H/U would be the go. Cheers - Dan

I'm not sure what it was intended for, it may very well be to output to an ECU, I found a few arduino boards on ebay, but they all log data to a fat32 or SD card, and they still don't incorporate RPM. I'm sure I've seen some guys doing there own tuning with a piggy back who use the data logging system to tune, heres the thread here - http://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/327734-apexi-afc-neo-safc-tuning-issues/ note the graphs. Cheers - Dan

stock ecu with a apex neo piggy back heres a link to the sideband I bought - http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/360746100476?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649 not sure if its a popular brand or not, but its called "EVO" gauge, I like the seller, and I like the race tech gauges, so I just bought this off him. and yeah I thought it would have came with software/ or at the least instructions, I'll see if that brand has a website and go from there, but thanks for the help guys, and I couldn't imagine trying to make my own board or whatever, however it did come with a sheet with readings like 0v = 10.0 afr 0.25v - 10.5 afr etc etc to 5v = 20.0 afr or something like that anyway. also the r34 uses the consult port, not obdII
-
So I got myself a wideband gauge and it comes with a 0-5v data logging output, however it gives no information about what software to use or where to get it, so I did a little google search to no avail. I'm asking if anyone use's the function, and if so explain how, like did you make your own usb cable and what software did you use? In my search I did find some software for PC (I have a mac) but it never mentioned anything about a usb cable. also does the software need information form the obd2 plug? Links appreciated! Cheers - Daniel

How To Install Speakers Into Skyline Doors...
vetter2769 replied to Fhrx's topic in Car Audio & Electrical
Such a shame to hide all your handy work behind the door cards You've done an absolute impeccable job considering it was your first attempt. Coating the MDF in resin = very smart idea, MDF and water just don't mix! again, well done!
