  1. any chance you bought a fake bov? I made that mistake a year ago.
  2. Its got to do with your exhaust, now that its opened up and is more free-flowing you should notice a slight increase in boost as the turbo is able to flow more freely, and thats why it pops, because now its "out of tune" but the slightest amount. nothings really going to fix it until you get a tune, i.e. nistune or something. but as to why it actually pops I just assumed is was unburnt fuel, but I'm no expert, just sharing my knowledge.
  3. haha I wish it was simple! I'm guessing it would have to plug into the consult port and take readings... I dunno. Gaming has taken such a dramatic twist in the last few years, and now again with the soon to be realised "oculus rift". Soon there will be no point in owning a car as we will be able to experience everything form the safety of our living room!
  4. whaaaatttt thats awesome! too bad I have a ps4 edit - and a Gtt lol
  5. yeah sounds good, something to consider in the future then, no doubt we will shuffle the days around to accommodate for all people.
  6. Hey Jack thats good to hear! we were thinking sunday afternoon, 2pm at easter beach car park, just look out for the other skylines! I will be somewhere along the "shannons rival quarter mile" half way down or something. so yeah come along if you can! at the least lets get some geelong people together and then go from there depending on what the group wants to do, young yangs sound like a good drive, or even around the coastal towns etc. so there we go 2pm Sunday at eastern beach car park water front, show up, bring your skyline, show your interest and amongst all meet some like-minded car enthusiasts!
  7. something like this? https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/obdsol/obdlink-mx-wifi-a-wireless-gateway-to-vehicle-obd It'd be mega cool to have this! only problem is, far as I'm aware they don't make them for Nissan's, my guess is because some skylines are banned over there...
  8. Did this get posted on NS.com then had it deleted?
  9. Thanks Odium, we defiantly don't want/need people coming along to ruin it with inappropriate behaviour, that being said any gatherings we might have won't be affiliated with SAU or SAU VIC at all. So hopefully some more people will show interest, and hopefully the weather holds up that way we could get together perhaps this weekend!
  10. As per the title, what suspension do you use in your car? or what suspension have you had experience with? how much did you pay for it? brand new/second hand? easy to adjust? and what settings are you using? also reasons for buying e.g. stance/practicality I'll kick it off - In my old 180sx I bought second hand stock suspension with nismo springs, it lowered the car by 60mm and it handled slightly better. reason for buying was my old shocks where leaking, cost me $200. My R34 has stock suspension, and its really showing its age.
  11. yeah that might be a good idea, lets first get a few people together for a meeting, if we get say 4 or 5 yes's then we will put down a time and place somewhere close to Geelong at a car park or something and make a route and head off. So thats like 3 people at this stage - Myself (Dan) Artic choc (Jake) and dallionsaini any others?
  12. buy this http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/181091355021?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649 best 20 bucks you'll ever spend. rub it on with a separate cloth, use elbow grease, then remove it with a clean micro fibre cloth. edit - sorry you said "sealer" I think meguirars have a plastic sealant also, i think I've seen it, but never used it.
  13. will you take us for a spin then? come and pick up me and chids34?
  14. I just re-heat the black stuff with the heat gun and whack it back together.... gently... careful not to melt headlight lol.
  15. I'm probably going to get hammered/grilled/butrapped for this but check out mighty car mods on youtube, they kind of provide some insight into modifying cars and they teach you all sorts of stuff along the way. check out their drift car build, that was pretty cool be sure to watch all 3 episodes, and then check out the other stuff they do. skip over that rubbish "lend us a ride" its diarrhoea. If you want to know some history on the skylines, then look here - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_Skyline and welcome to the world of skylines. - Dan
  16. DIY it mate, I know it sounds daunting if you haven't had much experience with that sort of thing, but perhaps you have a hands on friend that can help you out. If you take them to a shop my guess is they need to charge a decent price, perhaps between 150-300? for their labour and service. I dunno, isn't the hole point of owning a skyline to diy stuff?
  17. Geelong people put your hands up! lets get something organised! Jake you should have added - "please no bogans" haha. but yeah +2 for my 34 and my house mates R33.
  18. Stock, clean, nice..
  19. Maybe I wasn't clear with what I meant to say - It doesn't flow through it at 50psi "as some ill experienced people have thought. Of corse it has a flow rate or how else would it move through the turbo? But thanks for the serious reply.
  20. what sort of intake pipe did you have? like from pod filter to turbo, something custom? stainless?
  21. Lol sorry man, best mod you could do is - a.) sell non turbo b.) buy turbo
  22. White R34 with black bonnet in Drysdale, drove past each other near Mortimers.
  23. The oil only drips through it, doesn't get pumped in there like some people think, you can always tell the bottom oil drain as its the only major difference between all the other fittings, so the top one is oil in (opposite to oil drain) then yeah water return is supposed to sit slightly higher than water in.
  24. Hey mate, I got my hands on a apex super flow, the pod filter is supposed to decrease turbulence created by cheap pod filters, and somehow flows better air into the turbo. I also grabbed a already made panel that stops "heat soak" meaning supposedly stops engine heat going through your pod filter and just draws in cold air. also got a maf adapter. Pod filter - $80 delivered Panel - $80 Maf adapter - $12
