what grinds my gears,

dirty beach men, lately i go to the beach regularly, either for a swim or a snorkel and no matter what time, day or beach i got to there is always an elderly man in the smallest speedo, this is disgusting, and i notice most of them sit around the girls in bikinis, and when they finally get up from perving they have a wedgie and dont seem to care  , and you can tell they have been doing it for a very long time because they are very very dark from the sun, so i just wanted to get that off my chest

hahah wats worse is when guys are looking at u and when they get up they are wearing a G-STRING and then come talk to u! thats just not right! wrong wrong wrong!!!! lol

wgmg going thru the entire day totally stoked with how much youve achieved then your boss turning up at ten minutes to knock off and having major wawas about how little work is getting done and what are you doing packing up theres 10 whole minutes left of the working day grrrr go off like that agian mate and youll be looking for a new leading hand

Stupid young dickheads in VT commodores. They all have them because they are so cheap now - and NO they aren't cool. Had a lovely experience with a group of losers in a black one last night... tried to race me at the lights and I didn't bite so the people in the car started throwing glass bottles out the windows into the path of my car. Next set of lights I gave them a serving.... and they called me a sl*ut! hahaha They will be removed from the gene pool soon enough.

If anyone sees black commodore 1BZI 328.... you know the drill :)

wgmg - pregnant women smoking while pregnant,

i was taking my mummy to the dentist today (cos im a good boy/son) :P and right next to it is also a medical center, now i decided to sit in the car cos she was only gonna be a few mins and i hate the smell of any thing to do with a dentist :) sitting in the car i notice this trashy looking lady about 26 years old come out with a pram with a baby in there, and was quit clear she was about 6-7 months pregnant, she then pulled out a packet of cigarettes and started to smoke a cigarette, now i thought this was very disgusting in terms about her responsibility to her unborn child but then she bends over and grabs a bottle of milk for the baby in the pram and starts feeding it to the baby with cigarette smoke going in the poor baby's face

to be honest i really couldn't believe it at all, was very disappointed wen i saw that and made very angry hence my gears been grounded :)

people who end their useless rant with "just my 2 cents"

or when they change it to try n add comedy with "just my 2 yen"

its sucky and we hate it

Dan, i didnt know you felt this way. It can be funny at times.

Just my $2au

wgmg electronic stuff everything is going horribly wrong my mobile no longer has a working hello button ie cant answer or make calls and the laptop has had a hissyfit and will no longer go online and im techno illiterate damnit

WGMG - snapperheads in carparks with shopping trolleys.

After years of busting my bum keeping $500 sh1tter falcodores running , not to mention carrying full toolkits at all times and not being able to wash my car due to the rust and / or failing door/window seals, I finally manage to get myself to a point in my life when I can go out and buy a family car that I can be proud of. Not any family car mind, but even something a little individual with a rare colour, 'lectric everything and, best of all, it's turbo charged. I take huge pride in it, keeping it clean and polished and saving all my spare cash for the day when I can start **quivers** MODIFYING it.

Then my darling wife takes it to the local shopping center, takes care to park it out of the way, and toddles off to do some shopping and when she returns SOME LOWLIFE SCUMBAG SCUM SUCKING OFFSPRING OF A FATHERLESS THREE TOED SLOTH has just abandoned their shopping trolley to let it carouse gaily through the car park where it manages to put dirty great big scratches in 3, COUNT THEM 1, 2, 3!!! of the passenger side panels of my pride and joy

*sobs*

Fair enough, you don't know or want to know anything about your own car, and you can't tell the difference between a Hyundai Excel or a Daewoo fuggin Nubira, and you are more interested in what size cup holders are in the dash, but for the love of all that is good and holy, is it that hard to realize that someone out there does and might take offense at the needlessly inflicted damaged YOUR LAZY ARSE CAUSED BY BEING TOO BONE IDLE LAZY TO WALK AN EXTRA 15 BL00DY METERS TO PUT THE DAMN TROLLEY WHERE IT WON'T ROLL AWAY!!!!

that is all.

i like people who post things in for sale in these forums for stupid prices , often more than the actual brand new price for the 2nd hand goods they are trying to sell then abuse people when they point out how retarded they are and then the item sits there for the next 9 months un sold

Low life drunken (i assume) retarded mofo's who have a penchant for urinating off the kenwick link overpass on a nice sunday afternoon while i happen to be boxed in the exact lane he's pissing on from a great height not 2 days after i've washed my car.

Fair enough i knew that washing your car would make it rain soon after but this wasn't quite what i expected...I HATE yellow rain.

WTF, now its ruined my day,

wgmg is trying to use Curtin's online class registration/enrolment thingo when every other student of 35,000 is trying to use it at the same time and so it takes about an hour to register classes for just one unit

    • Yup. You can get creative and make a sort of "bracket" with cable ties. Put 2 around the sender with a third passing underneath them strapped down against the sender. Then that third one is able to be passed through some hole at right angles to the orientation of the sender. Or some variation on the theme. Yes.... ummm, with caveats? I mean, the sender is BSP and you would likely have AN stuff on the hose, so yes, there would be the adapter you mention. But the block end will either be 1/8 NPT if that thread is still OK in there, or you can drill and tap it out to 1/4 BSP or NPT and use appropriate adapter there. As it stands, your mention of 1/8 BSPT male seems... wrong for the 1/8 NPT female it has to go into. The hose will be better, because even with the bush, the mass of the sender will be "hanging" off a hard threaded connection and will add some stress/strain to that. It might fail in the future. The hose eliminates almost all such risk - but adds in several more threaded connections to leak from! It really should be tapered, but it looks very long in that photo with no taper visible. If you have it in hand you should be able to see if it tapered or not. There technically is no possibility of a mechanical seal with a parallel male in a parallel female, so it is hard to believe that it is parallel male, but weirder things have happened. Maybe it's meant to seat on some surface when screwed in on the original installation? Anyway, at that thread size, parallel in parallel, with tape and goop, will seal just fine.
    • How do you propose I cable tie this: To something securely? Is it really just a case of finding a couple of holes and ziptying it there so it never goes flying or starts dangling around, more or less? Then run a 1/8 BSP Female to [hose adapter of choice?/AN?] and then the opposing fitting at the bush-into-oil-block end? being the hose-into-realistically likely a 1/8 BSPT male) Is this going to provide any real benefit over using a stainless/steel 1/4 to 1/8 BSPT reducing bush? I am making the assumption the OEM sender is BSPT not BSPP/BSP
    • I fashioned a ramp out of a couple of pieces of 140x35 lumber, to get the bumper up slightly, and then one of these is what I use
    • I wouldn't worry about dissimilar metal corrosion, should you just buy/make a steel replacement. There will be thread tape and sealant compound between the metals. The few little spots where they touch each other will be deep inside the joint, unable to get wet. And the alloy block is much much larger than a small steel fitting, so there is plenty of "sacrificial" capacity there. Any bush you put in there will be dissimilar anyway. Either steel or brass. Maybe stainless. All of them are different to the other parts in the chain. But what I said above still applies.
    • You are all good then, I didn't realise the port was in a part you can (have!) remove. Just pull the broken part out, clean it and the threads should be fine. Yes, the whole point about remote mounting is it takes almost all of the vibration out via the flexible hose. You just need a convenient chassis point and a cable tie or 3.
