Yeah but the veyron is an 8 Litre 16 cylinder engine. Not a 2.5 Litre 6.

Nytsky's engine is producing 91kW per cylinder, while the veyron is only pushing out 46kW per cylinder.

Thats a lot less strain on each cylinder. Also the veyron engine is built to the most ridiculous of tolerances in a humidity and temperature controlled room that is 100% dust free.

So your not really comparing apples with apples.

Nytsky, very awesome effort! However, what in the hell are you going to do with 546kW in a RWD car? lol

To correct you its more like 100kw per cylinder.

And the car is built for nothing else than to put a smile on my face every time I get into it.

If you look at extreme setups such as a drag car which is running thousands of HP, they need to be pulled down after each 5sec run, my mates dad has a 5sec drag car and he tells me the stories which is just mind boggling so u need to be rich with sponsorships.

Yeah I've heard it from a few guys actually but wasn't sure how true it was as to me, pulling it down every 5000km would be painful. 20000km on the other hand wouldn't be sooo bad for car which isn't a daily driver.

I was interested in buying Envy motorsports 'the jetters edge' r34gtr a while ago and he killed the sale when he told me it had its routine 5000km rebuild.

prolly a good thing you didnt man..... i would touch anything that they had touched after what happened to my best mate..... it would have been a 5k rebuilt not caz of the power!!! anyway his car is running sweet now after JEM fixed it :)

Hear, hear. I wouldn't go anywhere near them.

Car sounds nuts. Love it.

just flicked though this thread 76 pages of cash burning power

if it were my car i would have burnt it years ago

pants of for persisting

enjoy the power skidz.... untill the next rebuild

buy 2015 this thing will have a 4 litre stroker and a gt7564 turbo

Top work Dave, good result from relatively low boost. Much fun to be had for a long time there.

HD video from this weekends escapades is mandatory I believe!!!

Oh and good to see the usual suspects posting up absolute tripe, always makes for a laugh.

I have a GoPro that I haven't used yet, might give that a go.

Car is finally home after what feels like 2 years (not far off it).

Its bullshit to drive, the sound of the turbo is a good distraction from the lag lol.

Took a few people for a spin and we all giggled like school kids after the gates open, seriously sounds like war is happening under the bonnet :)

Much WIN!

    • neither stumble or cut really seem to be an appropriate term....hard to explain its like a rev limiter but at 4k, but it violently shakes engine and entire vehicle as the rpms will not rise over 4k, even with slow acceleration. as soon as it hits 4k, it sounds like entire spark is lost entirely. plugs were 1.1 which I used as such, but later put in new plugs gapped down to .8 changed back after issue arose when I replaced the coils, still does it with either plug gap...damn and it was all running so good.
    • Oh how times have changed! I actually lean it out relative to my water/methanol injector duty cycle. The methanol adds a lot of fueling and you can then lean it out even more due to reduced knock.
    • Yeah my thoughts are the same, a well thought out WMI setup, would be slightly ahead of just straight E85 and you're also chemically intercooling the charged air, dropping it even further. This is why you need to add so much more fuel as soon as you spray. I remember someone taking me through their set up before (Dennis, has a R33, lives around Cabramatta - no idea if he's still around on this forum). He would target AFR 10:1 on 98, then as WMI ramped on, AFR would lean back up to 11:1. Amazingly, he did this all through his PowerFC, a relay to cut power to his EBC solenoid if there was not enough line pressure on his WMI kit. And of course, if there wasn't any boost made above gate pressure, you wouldn't be accessing the load cells with heaps of timing for WMI. One downside to that rudimentary setup, once the WMI came on, the EBC would unleash the dragon, and of course all the timing. Tyres would fry lol.
    • Shimmed or shimless, still solid, no hydraulic pump up stuff.
    • They have said food will be limited. Mainly meat pies and sausage rolls from memory. But they have a coffee van!
