Well May I be the first to say absolutely top day! Even the sprinkles in the morning made it all that more fun out on the tarmac.

An I must send condolences to all those poor cone I killed.

Hey did anyone else have to go into the TAFE buildings to use the toilet? I saw this on the posterboard in one of the buildings. Hehe, the should have come and take pictures of us lot!

Well I hope everybody had a great day,,,seems Eric did.

A VERY HUGE thanks has to go to everybody that put there hands up and ran the day. So in no particular order:-

Adam & Paul for doing the BBQ.

Ian & Sam for taking pics,,,hoping to see some great shots!!!

Steve-o for all his tireless work all day.

Steven & his girlfriend,,,Dave for there timing and calling.

Charles and his Son(sorry mate I've forgotten your bloody name) for all your work up the end.

Ando what can I say,,,your a legend mate.

Duncan and Kel as usual you 2 step up without fail every time.

Now I know very well I have missed someone,,,it happens at every event,,,so a massive thank YOU as well.

Thats it for the moment,,,I need beer,,,but I have questions and thoughts,,,that can wait.

Oh Please can we NOT have a "Texi wrap up Thread". They suck!!!

Neil.

Awesome day everyone.. used barely any petrol at the event but lots on the way to and from, weird.

Special thanks to the organisers for all the hard work, glad to see you got some fun in. sorry if my exhaust killed your ears too much taking off all the time.

need to get up the top 10 times for each stage..

Easily the most fun I've had in my car.. Thanks for all the compliments guys and gals.. The N/A weapon surprised alot of ppl including me :)

Had a bit of a steering seizing problem on the afternoon events so i failed hard lol.

Any pics or videos of my car post em up. 'JAP 25L'

p.s. cassbo you are crazy

cant believe how close to the track you guys were sitting.....just as well i wasnt allowed, probably would have killed someone.

I wasnt sitting near the 'track'.. I was on it lol :)

Thanks Slim, I like that photo :D

If anyone else has photo's of a silver 32 gtr, post please :)

cheers dude :)

yeah good work to the organisers! well run day and soooooooooo much more driving time than I expected.

I did DECA a few weeks ago and it wasn't half as good as todays day! awesome work!

I cannot believe my car didn't skip a beat all day.... VERY unusual

Thanks to everyone who let me jump into their cars! Was awesome fun.

Shitloads of photos and video footage taken too, I just need to get a copy of all the stuff I took from my mate, then I'll post up shots.

PS: I'm off to a party now... WOOHOO!

Best.

Day.

Ever.

:)

Can't believe how much fun I've missed sitting in the non-silly seat. Need to get a steering wheel in the hands more!

Congrats to Pres Neily and the Exec for organising a crack team to put together this day.

I wish I could name names, so many people helping out to make this day a success so big thanks to all.

yeah your was going great Dave but fark it seems to breathe a bit! hope everything is ok with it.

stu you really should have been there.

it was great to see so many new faces out there today, khanas are a great way to get into motorsport, not to mention fun to thrash the cars.

Steve and Steveo are compiling the results but i enjoyed the slow skid laps more than the quick tidy ones :)

    • Hi all,   long time listener, first time caller   i was wondering if anyone can help me identify a transistor on the climate control unit board that decided to fry itself   I've circled it in the attached photo   any help would be appreciated
    • I mean, I got two VASS engineers to refuse to cert my own coilovers stating those very laws. Appendix B makes it pretty clear what it considers 'Variable Suspension' to be. In my lived experience they can't certify something that isn't actually in the list as something that requires certification. In the VASS engineering checklist they have to complete (LS3/NCOP11) and sign on there is nothing there. All the references inside NCOP11 state that if it's variable by the driver that height needs to maintain 100mm while the car is in motion. It states the car is lowered lowering blocks and other types of things are acceptable. Dialling out a shock is about as 'user adjustable' as changing any other suspension component lol. I wanted to have it signed off to dissuade HWP and RWC testers to state the suspension is legal to avoid having this discussion with them. The real problem is that Police and RWC/Pink/Blue slip people will say it needs engineering, and the engineers will state it doesn't need engineering. It is hugely irritating when aforementioned people get all "i know the rules mate feck off" when they don't, and the actual engineers are pleasant as all hell and do know the rules. Cars failing RWC for things that aren't listed in the RWC requirements is another thing here entirely!
    • I don't. I mean, mine's not a GTR, but it is a 32 with a lot of GTR stuff on it. But regardless, I typically buy from local suppliers. Getting stuff from Japan is seldom worth the pain. Buying from RHDJapan usually ends up in the final total of your basket being about double what you thought it would be, after all the bullshit fees and such are added on.
    • The hydrocarbon component of E10 can be shittier, and is in fact, shittier, than that used in normal 91RON fuel. That's because the octane boost provided by the ethanol allows them to use stuff that doesn't make the grade without the help. The 1c/L saving typically available on E10 is going to be massively overridden by the increased consumption caused by the ethanol and the crappier HC (ie the HCs will be less dense, meaning that there will definitely be less energy per unit volume than for more dense HCs). That is one of the reasons why P98 will return better fuel consumption than 91 does, even with the ignition timing completely fixed. There is more energy per unit volume because the HCs used in 98 are higher density than in the lawnmower fuel.
    • No, I'd suggest that that is the checklist for pneumatic/hydraulic adjustable systems. I would say, based on my years of reading and complying with Australian Standards and similar regulations, that the narrow interpretation of Clause 3.2 b would be the preferred/expected/intended one, by the author, and those using the standard. Wishful thinking need not apply.
