Will be looking at my first GTRs next weekend :P any tips on what to look for? whats the main things to look for i.e rust spots etc, Trent at status told me to check the oil pressure when driving making sure it doesn't get too low (or high for that matter).

Think i will just look at a few with decent rims already on.. save me the MOLAH

yeah but those are guys in the US and EU with no access to cheap secondhand work meshies.

Problem is finding 17" in a 5x100 PCD with just the right offset. Not that easy cos all the dubber's snap em up.

tried to access SAU at work. Loaded SAU forum but in the middle was a message saying I do not have permission to view this forum :D

How is it possible? It wasnt a regular website block through the company firewall. The whole sau site loaded, it just had a little red message box in the centre (like when you enter a wrong password)

haha

meh wheels are wheels. Don't have to change em straight away. All about what's functional. My car remains proof of that. See...when I was looking, I wanted a purple one n would only look at a purple one. Till that got too frustrating n I decided screw it, I can change shit later if I don't like it, I just want to buy the best condition one I can find. Why hang out for a car with rims, or a specific color when it could end up being utter shit engine and running gear wise. just gotta b smart about it. And remember dealers know how to patch things up for long enough to make it seem like it drives better than it will once u get it home.

if people are retarded enough to overlook shit that's wrong with a car because it has hektic rims, I'm gonna start decking my shit out in CE28N's before I flog em off.

some people do. I still have a soft spot for technospeed z1s :P

Even if you get rims with a car I'm sure the previous owner couldn't drive for shit and gutted them anyways. I've had my rims for 2 years with no gutter rash at all. Just buy new rims when you get the car.

    • I can see between the water jacket and cyl 3 there wasn't a hard line of combustion gas. It certainly appears that the issue is coming from there. Yes, checked the tension. All at 100ft lbs where I set them 5 years ago. These blocks can crack but generally when they have been over bored. Mine is only 0.5mm oversize at 89.5mm. They break between cylinders around the 91mm mark. No sign of that with mine. My gut feeling is the head gasket lifted a while back when the studs stretched and i bandaided it by retorquing the studs. It's finally let go.

    • Yes, but, I paid cash and I'm pretty sure the receipt was in the bin 10 minutes after I got home Note to self, keep all receipts

    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
