Thought I'd make one of these, save having our comments extend the length of the organisation thread.

Great day as always. Weather turned out for the best (if not a tiny bit hot at times) and everyone was pretty well behaved. Good turnout and mix of cars. Shame we ran out of time in the arvo for the knockout and random battles, but we still got all the timed events done. Massive thanks to Bec & Ryan, all the volunteers who stood in the sun all day for timing, and MiColour for sponsoring the event.

P.S. Thanks to the people who lent me screwdrivers during subwoofer removal and reinstallation process ;)

Over to you...

Thanks to all the organisers and other volunteers for a great day. Looking forward to helping out at the next one!

Im currently uploading all my pics to flickr then I'll post the link, trouble is silly me decided I would upload them in full quality for everyone to just save rather than email asking but I had over 150 photographs and its been running for 6 hours so far and only 63% complete lol, Im sure it will get there eventually.

Awesome day! Had an absolute blast.

Met some cool people, learnt a lot about my car, discovered the handbrake and I actually remember most of what happened after taco bells this time!

Big thanks to all the organizers, Micolour and all the volunteers.

Would like to thank all the volunteers and event organisers who stood out in the sun all day for us! Especially Bec, i always felt guilty when lining up for the long wang ;) The day wouldnt work if it wasnt for all your help

I hope all the deca attendees shouted you all drinks cause you lot deserve them!

Thanks also to all the photographers standing out in the sun! Especially the one at the long-wang basketball court and the one on the skidpan (sorry dont know your name, you were sticking on a go-pro camera on cars)

must say thanks to all the organisers and volunteers as it just wouldn't have been possible without you.

i'll definately be back for the next one.

And without further ado - my pics, Further proof that being a volunteer is an awesome job as you are right in the midst of the action.

They need some major cropping and some photo adjustments but havent had the time yet!

    • I am yet to see anyone ever regret a quaife or helical. ...other than drifting/skidpan duties. I kind of want to upgrade my factory helical with a Quaife (but really it's not ultimately that different, and is a MASSIVE UNDERTAKING), that's how good the hype is about them, that I want to try them 'just to see'
    • D2 and Ksport are essentially the same thing and basically just generic Taiwanese manufacture. Better than ChinaBay crap, but... not top shelf. Öhlins have got to be some of the best dampers around, so likely to be a good option. It's going to get to the point though where I suggest you buy from Oz. We have at least 2x excellent options here. If I were you though, I'd be talking to KW about doing something for the R33. There's bugger all difference between that and the 32. In GTR land, anyway.
    • KW only offers a set for the R32 GTR. Popular options are D2 racing, Ksport or Öhlins. I have a D2 Racing coilover set, though I don't know for sure which one.
    • Well, the good news is you have more than one very good option for new coilovers in and around your country. Worth the drive over to KW to talk about GTR stuff.
    • Fair enough, I am in no way a tire expert so I'm not familiar with all the terms and conditions. I'll definitely note down the AD09 to potentially try in the future. Rain is not too big of a concern for now as I will probably only drive in the rain when I have to. And considering I still lack experience driving the GTR I'd more than likely take it easy too. I have coilovers in the car but as I barely got to drive so far I never bothered to even check if they are adjustable haha. The suspension is almost entirely old and worn as well so I suppose when I eventually fix that in the future that would make a huge difference.
