Hi all,

Unfortunately recently my r34 was written-off.

So now I am in the market for another turbo car but want to spend around 10-15K.

Any suggestion?

I would like to get peoples ideas on this to help me choose a car. Thanks

you probably don't want another skyline, so if you're after something punchy i'd say the best value 'sport' car in that price range would be a mildly modified 200sx.. you can get s15's now for 15-16k... newer and better on fuel than the skylines :) or if you're happy with an older model, there's plenty of s14 series 2's under $15k.

what about a 300zx tt they go pretty hard

Yeah, pretty big power from factory. For $15k you'd get a really good one. Probably forged rebuild with 300rwkw :)

Even mine came with a new engine and I only payed $8k.

Only downside is all the jokes that people make about them :( And they actually are kinda unreliable and a bitch to work on.

Another suggestion (even though I'll probably get flamed for it) is an MR2 turbo. Get a 94+ with the GEN3 turbo engine. They go surprisingly quick!! Great handling and heaps of traction thanks to the mid-rear layout. Nice and reliable too.

If you want to go down that route let me know and I can point you towards some nice ones. $15k would get you a really good one!

For 15k your could get a tt supra if you shop smart..

I sold my NA Supra for that price :D I don't reckon you could get a decent TT for that price. I've seen some mint ones sell for 30k - 40k+

i dont get it :D ..i was being serious..my mates got one and i reckon its pretty good minus the tight engine bay

oh, i thought you were being sarcastic was well played.

For 15k your could get a tt supra if you shop smart..

LOL I have already installed cat doors into the laundry where their kitty litter is, and the sun room, apart from the cat doors there's not going to be any permanent mounted stuff on the interior walls (interior doors are cheap and easy to replace) I will get a outdoor cat cage thingie once I finish the landscaping out back... https://catnip.com.au/ The only off limit areas are the main bedroom and the gym room....but, currently the cats are curled up in bed, in the main bedroom with the Mrs.....LOL, the off limits for the kittens to the main bedroom lasted about 5 minutes with Jackie I currently only have 1 free standing huge cat tree multiple level scratching post thingie in the lounge room, but, I will be getting another one soon now that I'm happy with the furniture layout in the back room and have a perfect spot for it
    • All of this is making it seem clear that running the Coppermix twin was definitely the way to go, especially in hindsight with how insane tariffs have gotten and the strength of the USD vs yen at the time.
    • That sounds like no chance of even importing one for road registering then Now I see why Duncan wants to check LHD rules for Targa...   I wonder how "bolt in" the AWD would be if you got one imported from the US and swapped it to an AUD one
    • Not to mention they drive like a bucket of bolts! yuck!
