Value for money get the turbo with an internal gate .82 turbine housing, get an exhaust cam gear and get it retuned. You will need a line kit, intake and cooler pipping modded and a completely new dump pipe.

GCG have given me a rough price of $2200 for the GTX with rear housing. You can then get your mechanic to make you the dump/cooler/intake pipes and buy a RB/Garrett BB line kit from Kinugawa on ebay. The line kit is about $100 and I anticipate you will need to spend roughly 800 making the dump and other associated pipes. GCG also sell gates cam gears for something like $100 each and tuning will be up to your tuner.

GCG Also sell a complete kit with the lines, dump pipe etc. I believe the price was around $3k for the GT3071/76 so I wonder if its gone up for the GTX series?

6boost mani for $2500??? Last i seen they only 1200bux custom.....

When you go high mount you tend to need more than just a manifold to make it work... also having external wastegate would be a good start ;)

This.

I'll be getting a GTX3582R soon. .82 internally gated. Best I found so far was $2200. Don't need a kit cuz it will all bolt up with my current gt3076r kit. Can't wait :)

Wow thats big news, I cant wait for the results either! So a GT35 will fit onto the standard exhaust manifold? I thought the standard exhaust manifold started to become a reasonable restriction over 300rwkw?

Just checking, i'm sure you can't but thought it would be worth asking as i'm not that knowledgeable.

Could I get a GTX3071 and use the exhaust housing from my current KKR560. I would love that because then i don't need to buy an exhaust housing, dump pipe or any of that, so i'd save money. My current exhaust housing has already been chopped up my mr turbo to remove the "twin scroll" partition, and make the wastegate hole heaps bigger.

Random copy and paste in case it's helpful:

KKR560 One of the largest internal-gate turbos on the market Oil-cooled, 0.84 turbine housing suits T3 size flange Internal wastegate with 8psi actuator Suitable for single-turbo applications on 3.0-4.5 litre engines, or in twin turbo kits on 6.0 to 7.0 litre engines Comes with 71mm V-band section and V-band for dump pipe, T3 exhaust gasket, oil inlet banjo bolt and oil return gasket. RRP $999 Specifications for KKR560core: Compressor inlet pipe 76mm, compressor outlet pipe 50mm 55 trim compressor; inducer 61mm, exducer 82mm Turbine wheel outlet 56mm, outer diameter 73mm

As I said, i'm sure this is a ridiculous question, but thought i might as well ask :)

No you need to change to the garett housing since you will get poor results with the kkr housing.

My vote is for keeping the 3076, go E85 and run 23-25psi. Should make 340-350rwkw, improve your current awesome reponse (E85) and have a spastic mid range and top end!

RB25DETS2 runs a HKS 3037 Pro S on 23psi on E85 on a stock RB25 making 348-356rwkw depending on dyno. As we know the 3037 is a 3076 with a few tricks so is directly applicable.

NYTSKY has also had the 3076 up to 350rwkw maybe even more I cant remember.

I think a GTX35R really demands an aftermarket manifold etc.

Heres to hoping that updates will be posted in this thread as australian outlets get stock of GTX3071.

Just checking... I used to run no cat or mufflers on my car, but i've cleaned up my act now so that i don't upset the neighbors.

There's no problem running a screamer pipe on a GTX3071 right? Like it will only get loud once i'm making some kind of boost, right?

Isaac

I've contacted ATP and RSP to get quotes for GTX3071's internally gated T3 0.82 housing and flange shipped to Gold Coast, Australia.

They replied back to confirm address, so I guess i'll hear back with a price this afternoon. If it's acceptable, looks like i might get the world's best xmas present

I'm happy to post up the prices here, for anybody else looking, or is that inappropriate?

    • I can see between the water jacket and cyl 3 there wasn't a hard line of combustion gas. It certainly appears that the issue is coming from there. Yes, checked the tension. All at 100ft lbs where I set them 5 years ago. These blocks can crack but generally when they have been over bored. Mine is only 0.5mm oversize at 89.5mm. They break between cylinders around the 91mm mark. No sign of that with mine. My gut feeling is the head gasket lifted a while back when the studs stretched and i bandaided it by retorquing the studs. It's finally let go.
    • My Nismo 1.5 churps a bit on reverse turns when cold, but besides that feels like a stock diff.
    • Yes, but, I paid cash and I'm pretty sure the receipt was in the bin 10 minutes after I got home Note to self, keep all receipts

    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
