Realistically I think the 20G would just about suit anyone wanting a balls out responsive 260rwkw, maybe more.

I think it would better HKS GTRS results to be honest, thats $3000 worth of kit to be had for $800 on ebay.

Yeah the TD06SL2 has the same exhaust wheel and housing as a T67 but with 20g compressor and housing to suit. I would still think a T67 would be better on a RB25 and the SL2 for a RB20

410kw was a little bit of a piss take with correction on... More realistically it makes 390kw on a hub dyno and 360rwkw on a dyno dynamics roller :)

Actually I blew a the silicon off the AFM on friday night which was a bitch. The only pipe that can't have welded tabs to hold the hose clamp on (because it's plastic) dammit!

In other news, drags tomorrow night. Won't be a good time I don't think because the standard suspension can't be refitted due to alignment changes but will raise my coilovers and use MT ET street and see what mph I can run at least

I did some road tuning on an R34 RB25DET powered R32 yesterday which is running some Chinese T3/T4 and found the thing was maxed out at 1.1bar, the owner wants 300wkw on pump gas with streetability but like everyone doesn't want to spend thousands - was thinking of suggesting this turbo as an option with 10cm housing if its anything like yours:

I was in Auckland a few weeks ago so I know what your dollar is like (actually I took money from your economy because I won like $350 at the casino during a 15 hour stopover haha)

That turbo has the same badge as mine (Kinugawa) so it would be manufactured in the same place and I imagine would be just as good quality but it's not the same specs. It has a much bigger exhaust wheel and a different trimmed front wheel. Plus the front housing is different as well.

Exactly, this is my answer to the 2835 which I cannot find/afford. Just reference the two states sources, Simons T67 results (for hot side) and all evo 20g results (for power/response indication).

Power and response can ONLY be better going up to a 2.5L limited by the exhaust side choking, enter Simons results.

Once Im back from my first overseas trip ever, Ill be buying one. Best thing is that even if Kando fold up, mitsu sell all their tooling from panels to turbos so there are more suppliers of mitsubishi turbo parts than you can poke a stick at.

Hyundai motors are all ex mitsu tooling, which is why a hyundai motor is the cheapest way to do a 4G63 conversion lol.

Dont be too stressed about coilovers. My old drift

S13 ran 11.0 @127mph on full drift setup. And had used mt et streets. 1.65 60ft launch.

Its the same thing, TD06SL2 and T67 are refering to the turbine wheel. Its the same wheel. Same size same design etc.

When trust do their thing and rebadge the turbo as their own they call the TD06SL2 wheel a T67. Generally because it was trust who mated it to a 25G compressor and called it a T67, not Mitsubishi.

To he who questioned how it applies to a 2835, I have clearly stated the 20g compressor mated to the SL2 turbine wheel (T67) has been shown to spool incredibly well on a 2L motor when using a 10.5cm housing. The SL2 has also been shown to flow very high numbers, with ease, on simons car.

The 20g compressor is 68mm, it is smaller and in theory will spool faster than the 71mm GT35 used on the 2835 and 3071. It also flows 450hp.

2 and 2 somehow make 4, Im just waiting to secure my own 20g and proove the theory on paper. Hopefully will order one next week.

Be a little carefull comparing Evolution Mitsy turbos to other MHI based things because the Evos 4-10 use twin scroll turbine housings and thats makes a significant difference .

Possibly the people to talk to are GT Pumps because they seem to have a good handle on the various Mitsubishi 6 series turbines and TD05/6/7 compressor wheels .

You will find an interesting mix of TD06 family turbines ie TD06-SL2 TD06 TD06S TD06H TD06SH and TE06 .

They can have from memory 11 or 12 blades and I think Mark has most/all on display at his shop .

Where Mitsy is different from Garretts GT BB wheel rage seems to be with trim sizes . To me it looks like Garrett leaned towards big turbine trim sizes and at times compressors too . HKS seemed to take advantage of optioning Garrett compressors of the same families but in smaller trims at times . Importantly they also - oops the signals have cleared and gotta go

    • Version 1 aluminium airbox is.......not acceptable No pics as I "didn't like the look.....alot" Even after all my "CAD", and measurements, the leg near the fusebox just didn't sit right as it ended up about 10mm long and made the angle of the dangle look wrong, the height was a little short as well, meh, I wasn't that confident that Version 1 was going to be an instant winner I might give Version 2 another go, there's plenty of aluminium at work, but, after having in on and off a few times, and laying in the old OEM airbox without the new pod filter and MAF, there may be an option to modify the OEM air box and still use the Autoexe front cover and filter.... maybe This >  Needs to fit in here, but using the panel, and not the pod, the MAF will need to fit in the airbox though> I'm thinking as the old OEM box and Autoexe cover that is sitting in the shed is just sitting around doing nothing, and they are relatively abundant and cheap to replace if I mess it up and need another, it may well fit with some modifications to how the Autoexe brackets mounts to the rad support, and some dremiling to move it get in there, should give me some more room for activities, as I don't want to move the MAF and affect the tune Sealing the hole it requires to stick it in the air box is simple, a tight fit and some pinch weld will seal it up tight  I am calling this a later problem though
    • and it ends up being already priced in as though you're just on 91RON without any ethanol. Car will lose a bit of economy as the short and long term fuel trims bring down the AFR back to stoich or whatever it is for cruise/idle for the engine.  
    • Oh, you are right. But, in Australia E10 is based on 91RON fuel and ends up being 94RON. Hence it being the cheaper option for economy cars. The more performance oriented cars go for the 98RON fuel that has no ethanol mixed in. The only step up we have left then at some petrol stations is E85.
    • There is a warning that "this thread is super old" but they ignore that anyway...
    • With 10% Ethanol, we're talking 2-3% fuel consumption difference. The emissions reductions and octane boost in my opinion far outweigh this almost non existent loss.    My tanks sitting at 80%. Luckily that should go down fast as I'm on vacation again for the next two weeks.
