Changed my Spark plugs, put NGK PFR6A-11 in it.

Old ones where Buggered! Might explain the misfires and Flames out the exhaust. :whistling:

Flames.....flames.....flames are AWESOME!

Edited by Jetwreck

You are dumping air out of the system that has already been metered and had fuel added for, excess fuel in to hot exhaust = flames (especially when you give the throttle another stab and it gets hot gasses rushing up behind it).

Depends. Not on my original one it couldn't.... unless Iain has somehow managed it.

I think I may have stretched whatever is in there because my warm idle was just over 1100rpm (cold was around the 1600rpm mark)

ohh i didnt realise you sent me a faulty one back. awesome!

I presume you are joking.

You were going to take it apart while work with your mate to see if you could adjust the signal/response to hopefully get rid of the throttle restriction.

As such it "didn't matter" that it was causing a high idle as it was just going to be pulled apart anyway.

Hence why we swapped my TB with the V35 TB you had.

If you are joking mate, I have missed it (just had an "interesting conversation" with my boss  )

not joking. anyway too late now and dont want to get into it in a public forum.

pinch.gif How bad ?

Despite it being (in my opinion) a hard hit, the air bags didn't deploy, but it was a side swipe impact afterall. So I guess on that basis, it will be cheaper to repair now that I don't need replacement airbags.

Here are some pics ... warning, the following picture may offend.

The image doesn't show well, but the fender is concaved right in and the plastic shroud rubs the wheel.

If I haven't mentioned it already, was an old guy who pulled out of a side street into my lane. I really had nowhere to go and not enough braking distance. Tried to get around him, and almost made it, otherwise it would have been more front end damage and airbag deployment.

ahh damn! glad youre ok mate

i think they need to do annual testing of older drivers from 70 now.

i got taken out by a 74yo lady who said she had a green arrow to turn. except she wasnt at that intersection.

OK so I got my new grill today....sprayed it up and fitted it.

Thoughts!!

P.S. I just figured out my bonnet is out of lineblush.gif

Thats fairly impressive, you managed to take two photo, minutes apart & from an identical position, with your finger over the lens both times :P

Looks good !

    • Ok thanks..that was my second question if i can somehow bypass this even with Nistune(that is all i have right now...aparat from stock ECU. So with some aftemarket it can by "bypassed" or make it work?  I know there is Link or Haltech (mainly used). We have ECUmaster here so i will gather some info about it.
    • Yes. You will need to get the original boost sensor and wire it in. That is.... if you plan to use a stock ECU - even a Nistuned ECU. The Nissan ECU will not operate correctly without it connected. And yes, it will do annoying stuff like you are experiencing. You will almost certainly be better off with some aftermarket ECU, than trying to hunt down rare sensors.
    • Ok so ABS/TCS is "not" the problem. Yeah i know now about the ABS with Nistune(i told that to the Nistune guy) but iam not 100% why or why i dont have ABS. ABS cube is in the engine (always has been) but i had braked couple of times rly hard and brakes just locked and scream. Does all Skylines have ABS cube? That boost sensor https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/367633-wtb-r34-gtt-turbo-pressure-sensor-pics-inside/ Is this it? I need to ask but i have a picture of engine bay and i do not see that (100% is not in that place) If i do not have this the car can do what mine is?(cutting around 4000 rpm) Here is the pic of my engine bay(only one i have) BUT i think i dont have that cuz loom was used from my RB20DE NEO and i know (obviously) that it does not have boost control or any wire to that...) so maybe that is the problem? (i dont know for 100% if that car where the engine is from had that)...but i dont have the loom from that
    • I'm with you here. It's either loom has an issue, OR, injectors are not functioning properly. It could even be they're just constantly dribbling, hence the wet, but not firing.
    • Depending on how long the car sat it is very possible for injectors to be stuck open or closed, I'd get them cleaned and flow tested. Other than that, obviously when the loom changes and the car doesn't start any more....the loom is suspect so some tracing / comparing may be required
