KezR33
Poison the tree, and any other tree with cameras in them. The public will blame the cameras for it and demand them removed. Guest
I saw the same thing in Essendon the other day, a couple of them strapped to signs/poles etc. There was some guy wearing a fluro vest and had what looked like an electrician's van putting them up. JZP
Surely it couldn't be a valid speed camera, with the tree swaying with the wind (natural and induced by cars driving past).... skewing the readings?? JamesK
You guys didn't hear about this??? It was in the new budget cut! Taxpayers are saving $200 per camera by using a tree! PS....if I didn't see this on here I would have sworn it was photoshop PPS. I love how they use a steel padlocked box....some scissors would cut through those cables nicely Edited May 28, 2011 by JamesK Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/365754-cameras-on-trees/#findComment-5837926 Share on other sites

Rekin
A development company wants to build a new appartment block on a street. The locals have complained that there is not enough parking on street for the new development and are against the idea. The developer has placed cameras around the street to gauge a better understanding of the traffic flow/conditions. This is currently happening in a street in Surrey Hills. Perhaps its a similar thing happening in Springvale? Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/365754-cameras-on-trees/#findComment-5842888 Share on other sites
JamesK
How is this thing getting power? I don't see any sort of wiring from the ground to the box...Unless its on the otherside, even a car battery wont give it enough juice for more then a few hours to a day Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/365754-cameras-on-trees/#findComment-5843975 Share on other sites
