GT -and- single speed, he posted 2 different bikes :P

The Edinburgh bike has a flip flop hub, and right now it's running singlespeed. Gear ration of 38/18 from memory. It's such an awesome bike to ride! Nice gear ratio in terms of a top speed / hill climb compromise.

Crispy, do you have any pics / details of your felt bike?

06 or 07 Q620 - $70, score :D

Seems to have the 07 gusseting around the head stem, but 06 stickers and spec eg. RST Gila fork.

Spend some time pulling of reflectors and other silly plastic shit, ordered some red lock on grips from the US.

A guy I ride with occasionally at the track had a custom road pushie made up for him, some European brand I'm trying like crazy to remember. Anyway when he was getting it made he said he wanted it to be the same orange as the Gallardo. He gets a paint bill for $3000 and asks what the? Turns out they sent the frame to the Lamborghini factory to be painted in the same paint as the Gallardo. Lamborghini even painted it twice because they weren't content with the first time.

The whole bike cost him over $20k. Then he had a motocross accident and can't ride it any more anyway, lol, oh well! Clearly the man has too much time and money on his hands

David and Cammys in boxhill is where I usually go for dumplings

that place always has a lot of people eating in there.. always wanted to try it.

I might pop in there one night this week for dinner

lol, I know, well it was being built in Europe anyway... but that's the thing, completely ridiculous. 'Sif colour /matching/ would have been enough :P It was this guys divorce present to himself.

I don't think you'd ever want most people cars on club reg, too much headache.

Given its two years til r32s become eligible, now is probably a good time for SAU to sign up with only a handful of people wanting club reg, easier for the club to come up to speed with all the requirements.

my car is a 1993, thats another 6yrs to go to 25 O_o

I dont think the car will be moving still in 6yrs time haha

(note to future self who digs up this thread in 6yrs time, the r32 made it!)

    • I thought it could be an issue because the standard plate was flexing when stressed. Maybe the original gear set will hold a bit better without flex? Last time on the dyno it made around 670nm at the hubs. Now it have bigger turbo and better intake but have not been on a dyno yet. The car is being used from family trips to drag race events. So the shifts can be a little violent. It is grinding if I shift to fast so was thinking I should overhaul it soon.
    • From the factory on RB26s there's a fitting on the intake manifold collector/"plenum" that provides pre-throttle boost signal. That's how they did it back in the day, I figure it's fine to replicate it.
    • I would be surprised if that wasn't the issue. It's probably telling you, that even if you remove the plastic liner, you may have some other clearance issues that may occur too in some scenarios. IE, tyre to guard. It looks like someone has already rolled the lip, but you may still have issues in the future IE, turning and hitting a bump etc. The fact it changes how bad it makes the noise when you are going backward vs forward is highly indicative that it's the tyre rubbing. They do make a terrible sound, even if you're only pushing a project car that has a liner hanging down on a tyre!   Has the car been lowered? If it has been, what is the measurement from the centre of the wheel hub to the lip of the guard straight up?
    • Summernats cruiser?
    • Mark's a bit smarter than people give him credit... He'd convince the person that is to become dead, to drive him to the forest first. That way his car has no evidence in it, and he's free to dispose of their vehicle permanently how he sees fit too...
