Needs a secondary restraint? Like another strap around it...

The velcro will rip off the moment you spin out... So it'll last until turn 2...

ohshitson!

lol nah it takes a bit of force to rip off. technically its got 3 restraints lol its got the velcro straps, and its in a case and thats all bolted to the din mounts lol so 3 forms of mounting hahaha

but nah ill fix that right up, plus when its in the custom dash it will be apart of the car, they dont tell you to take your headunit out..

iPad Car Dash Stand?

ipad-car-mount.jpg

no. lol

Unless its really mounted securely then your going to have a bad time in scrutineering

Even the Go Pro suction cup won't pass. And people use that outside their cars at > 200km/h

pfft. we'll see. they let me onto sandown with my cross hanging from the mirror, when i forgot to takw it off.

Thanks Simon and Martin regarding the petrol info.

Hey Aaron, i just started playing around with the GoPro ap last night. It's not bad, if only it could allow you to preview the videos and photos..... but yeah, won't bother buying the lcd now since you can preview what you're about to record on the ap.

no point in the LCD, i only use the app to line up the camera, and start/stop recording..

hahahaha

technically he made it around turn 2... just

i made it AROUND turn two, in a 360degree drift bro yolo

I actually like the Velcro, it's f**king strong, the only way it will come off by itself is if I'm in a decent crash, and the iPad will be the last of my worries..

It takes a good amount of force to take it off anyway

LCD allows for playback and with sound, so it's still a useful thing to have. Can preview vids and delete shitty ones to free up space etc. Was only $120 from memory. Transformed my GoPro, don't know how I lived without it.

Lol yeh I don't know if I was. Maybe In the 200sx, but shat myself in the Evo after spinning out so stopped pushing the corners

Still, could be worse.

What was your best time of the day on the go pro?

I timed some of the member laps so know what most of them were doing

never really checked..

quite ashamed of it lol

lol

In that case maybe Simon was faster than you haha. From memory Neil, SS8_Gohan & Sabbadin where in the 1:30-1:35 and Simon was high 30's low 40's

    • Impossible to remove the housing while turbo is installed on the manifold on the engine. So I have to do it anyways. I plugged it so there will not be any debris in there. Will vacuum aswell
    • would a r34 gtr hood line up with gt/gtt stock fenders? after latch, front bumper and hinges are swapped for gtr ones? or would the fenders be too low or high in relation to the hood surface? ( I believe seeing somewhere that gtr front fenders use some type of riser for the sides, but do not know how that relates to stock gt/gtt fenders.)
    • You just need to remove the compressor housing, not the entire turbo. I would not be drilling and tapping anything with the housing still on anyways.
    • So, I put my boat on a boat. First of all, I'm going to come out and say it. Why is Tasmania not considered a holy goal, an apex that all road-legal modified cars go to, to experience? This place is an absolute wonderland of titanic proportions. If people are already getting club runs for once in a lifetime 30 person cruises to Tassy then I've never seemed to see it. It is like someone replaced the entire place with an idyllic wonderland for cars, and all of the people living there with paid actors who are kind, humble, and friendly. Dear god. After doing a lap of almost all of the place I've found that it's a great way to find out all of the little things that the car isn't doing quite right and a great way to figure it all out. All in all, I drove for 4 hours a day for a week and nothing broke. I didn't even need to open the engine bay. This is by all means a great success, but it has left me with a list of things to potentially address. I also now have a 3D printed wheel fitment tool which annoyingly hasn't got any threads in it to actually assemble it. I might be able to tape it together to check the sizing I actually want to use, but it'll likely involving pulling the shocks out to properly measure travel at least at the front, and probably raise the car while I'm at it, at least in the rear. I scraped on quite a few things and I'm not sure how else to go about it. I was taking anything with a bump at what felt like 89 degree angles. And address those 10 other tasks. And wash the car. God damn it is dirty. And somehow, the weather was perfect the entire time - And because I was on the top of Mt Wellington it turns out it was very much about to freeze up there. I did something I typically never do and took some photos up there in what must have been -10 and the foggy felt like suspended ice, rather than mere fog. If you own a car in Australia, you owe it to yourself to do it.
    • Damn that was hilarious, and a bit embarrassing for skylines in general 😂 vintage car life ey. That R33 really stomped. Pretty entertaining stuff
