lol @ forcing people to drink your homebrew.

i wanted to make my own spirits, and then i realised its just making alcohol and adding flavour, and that its also illegal. Because apparently people can make them ridiculous alcohol %'s and even possibly sell it/date rape using it. what has the world come to.

fkn ROFL @ you giving a fk about legalities....

I know a guy that made his own spirits. We had a go with a bit of his 70% then hit the main street of Warragul. The guy had also built a 6m tall trebuchet and a ballista made of Ute springs so I'm not sure that he cared much for legalities. He'd be a doctor by now I'm pretty sure.

trebuchet = catapault with steeze

Seems vilifify/vilified/vilification is the new buzz word and is to be explicitly paired with racially/racial.

It's amateur footy. Every second game I played ended in punch ons and blood noses. Racial abuse was the least of our worries. You got six weeks because you thought violence was the answer and starting a punch on is something that can't be ignored, unlike name calling. HTFU

haha gti's are fun, 'fast' cars... but do they really try to give imports a go that often? (although it'd give a stock 10-20yo one a run for it's money i bet :P)

aww yiss, magnets

Had some porsche with the plates RS997 try to give me a go the other night on nepean highway... was even... there's no way it was an RS.. didn't get a look at the back of it to see what it actually was...

Just saw him looking angry afterwards before he turned off to go have a cry about the extra $100,000 he wasted on his slow porsche.

It's always the rich cars and commodores that want to race me :/

Yer all but one I've come across have given me a go. Those Mini Cooper S people love to give it some stick too.

Interdasting. Wonder if it'll be the same with my fridge on wheels...

asians in mini coopers loved giving me in the snorer a go, i have no idea why, did the snorer look that slow?

Yes

t's always the rich cars and commodores that want to race me :/

Even imports sometimes. Sometimes you can tell it's just a fun thing... othertimes it's like "brah, i drive an n/a... do you think i'll even bother/not shur what you're trying to prove here" lolo

Till the 997 GT3 races you on a racetrack :P

Asians drag racing? I'll believe it when I see it. Least likely race to ever give you a go, and they could be sitting there in the most kitted up Supra with ET9SEC as the number plate.

Ahaha, just had a photo of [GTRRKT] pop up on my fb newsfeed. Apparently sitting directly outside Village in Knox Ozone. Dat FF6 promotion.

inb4 it leaves with a yellow sticker

This. Shame, as they make up a decent proportion of exotic car owners

Edit - just remembered an Asian bloke in an e46 m3 try to run me once.. he had a bad time

The bastard was trespassing on my private road to boot!

    • Thanks for doing that Duncan! Makes you a good person in my books. We don't get kangaroos or wombats here. But we have bats and it's similar. AFAIK it's often the mums with a baby attached that get hit because they drop lower when starting from a tree. If you hit an animal, check on it. https://www.ifaw.org/au/resources/wildlife-rescue-app An app to get the closest wildlife rescue contact.
    • My dream is also to have a proper hoist, but I don't think it will ever happen. My quickjack is probably as close as I'll ever get, it really is very good though.
    • Yeah we keep on in the dailies, it is pretty poor how many animals get hit and the driver leaves without checking....have saved a couple of little ones over the years. Bit of a gruesome job though, pouches generally need to be cut open because they are so tight and often the joey doesn't realise mum is gone so they are still locked onto the teat. I checked the modules in front of the DS wheel where an oil cooler should go.... There is the radar unit - that can go for race use) One of the 2 HX water pumps, the silver cylinder. That needs to be kept but might be able to be relocated But the bad news, the big computer mounted vertically in front of the wheel (blocking any potential air exit) is the electric steering computer. That is required until/unless i do a hydraulic steering conversion, and in CAD based modern car design it is not like I can just pop a big unit like that somewhere else (plus the loom would be too short anywhere else too). So, the passenger side is OK to clear out (just use a smaller washer reservoir, potentially elsewhere), but the DS no beuno
    • Well, all the best with the new camry It was interesting to hear about the UK process, it is generally a lot more streamlined here with a shipping agent looking after all the import side (noting the exact final price can still be a surprise.....) and I've used a few different brokers on the japan (or US) side, and never had any trouble with any of them....luck of the draw I guess. You mentioned you didn't get the auction sheet (understandable since you bought it from a dealer, not auction), but I always try and get hold of that because they are pretty thorough. I've imported 2x R grade vehicles over the years and both were fine, repairs in Japan are pretty thorough compared to here in Oz.
    • BTW I measured the jack I have, it is 70mm at the saddle but you only have about 700 until it returns to 150mm high at the cylinder so it is good but no magic bullet.
