I honestly reckon it does, at least the older Carreras...they have FAT asses. The Cayman is tidy as. And it's definitely better looking than the Boxster!!!

so is a cat's asshole.. what's your point?

Who sacked ya?

east coast mothafu[/]cker

and don;t say both, last time I did the ring and oktoberfest same weekend, left me a broken man...

its easy... fly into schipol friday morning get on it. drive to nurberg saturday leisurely drive, (or fly to koeln) do the track sunday. fly out of koeln sunday.

ive done it, but i lived in england at the time, much easier (and cheaper)

I'll be based out of Stuttgart, so none of it difficult, but if I go to Amsterdam want a night there at least.

nurburgring is a full day, last left stuttgart 7 and got back around 10-11 at night,

so only really feasible to do one of them.

guess could fly in a day early but will only be home from honeymoon for a few days b4 I have to fly out as it is..

Farking wish my part timer was a 9-5, I'd be rolling in it with less stress than a supermarket shelf stacker.

You're right though, unless you're lucky it's difficult to have a baller lifestyle without the high hours job to go with it. Sometimes it just ain't worth it though...my mate must be on close to 120 now and he's the most depressed, stressed out, time lacking person with no social life. He's setting himself up well for the future, but fark, if you're 40 before you start having any fun or time to yourself, I don't want any part of it! Think he's close to quitting!

yeh its a double edge sword, one thing is for sure at some point in your life your going to have to work hard to acheive anything so either you do it young set up for the future and enjoy the fruits of your labour down the track, or you have a great youth travel care free but when 30+ age wise hits you'll be like oh shit i cant afford a roof over my head (the lifestyle they thought was just going to happen)

Everyone always wants moar money

How many hours you do a week Alex?

I'm pretty much a relaxing 8:30-5p.m

If it gets busy I might stay back to 6 at the latest

hard to say man it really varies I'm fairly established now and mainly do 5 days with friday/sunday off (by appointment only) but i guess id be 50hours minimum a week

also should have mentioned for the educated 80-100k 5 days a week 9-5pm is quite achievable but the plethora of uneducated have no hope in hell.

When I was in uni I had a goal of earning over $100K p.a. before I was 30

In saying that apparently the average Australian wage is $73,000p.a which is quite surprising

Ill see if I can find the average median wage

Median wage for 2012 I think is about $50,000

Or $60,000 for full time employees

Still quite high imo

You can live quite comfortably if you were a couple on $60k each. That's if you dont have a big arse mortgage

Average wage is a rort.... It is skewed by high income earners and not corrected by people on negative income

Median wage is just over $50k which seems somewhat legit.

FWIW the average wage in ACT is $85k (no prize in guessing why)

not a smoker myself.

with the clearances I need for work there would go my job.

but figured it has to be an ok town for a short trip.

infact I was planning on watching Anthony bourdain's the layover for Amsterdam tonight!

So true though. I respect people under 25 who work hard (and those that have mortgages) but the sacrifices made... goddamn. Friend of mine was the biggest tight-ass all high school, planned to buy a house. Left school at 17, apprentice carpenter, worked 3-4 shifts a week at VideoEzy after hours. Bought a small townhouse at 19-20, the next 2 years' wage paid off purely interest. Then decided he wanted to have some fun and bought a jetski :|

23-24 now, still lives at home and works two jobs. Mortgage, car repayments and possibly jetski repayments. Yeah, ill pass thanks.

Plethora of uneducated people? try plethora of university graduates fighting for any job ina few years.

thats fine provided the $$$ are there to sustain the standard of living you desire, I'm yet to find anyone who walks the ultimate balance of lifestyle and income ideally 80-100k 5 days a week 9-5pm would be the absolute ideal situation however not sure how likely that is for most people.

I had this but gave it up for experience & challenge

Nothing worse than being bored/comfortable at work within your peak years. This is the time to explore, challenge and make mistakes.

Work to live or live to work.

I prefer to be challenged at work as long as its paid well. Hence why I'm off to the mines.

9days @ 12hrs & 5 days off.

Come at me brah

    • I can get more photos of it here soon and I plan to make a thread detailing the process. I received the car this way and it sorely needs refinishing. That is probably the most appealing photo of it. Up close it is fading, cracked, and needs to be re-glued. Depending on their condition I'm on the fence between refinishing or making a new set.  Another angle hiding the pimples and razor pumps
    • According to this thread the RS4V with build plate RC40 comes with the R200 diff @ 4.083 ratio as well (mine has said RC40 denotation). We may need to check if the axle stubs are the same pattern as well. The auto subframes have longer axles. However I think yours being a later Series 2 as well, we should have the same bolt pattern for the diff stubs. Unless your upgraded rear also has upgraded axles. Either way, I would not be opposed to pulling the covers to check so I can inspect that  fancy rear core  Also I don't have HICAS. I don't believe that should change things but I hope the people here with heaps more experience than me can correct me if I'm wrong   Let me know if you want to attempt to make this work and I can get some pictures of mine from under the car.
    • It's not that straightforward. For example I have had this code because my ignitor/power transistor wires were unplugged. It knows something is wrong but has no idea what it means. If you want to actually diagnose this I recommend following the service manual flowchart for code 21. Ohm out the harness, coilpacks, inspect the ECU, etc. And again, it's entirely possible for there to be no problem at all but if you're running a different coilpack it'll trigger the code because it doesn't like what it sees.
    • If it (the code) wasn't still current, it should have gone away by itself by now. No, nothing it 10/10. But it is quite likely. Everything else to do with the ignition could still be responsible (which is wires and connectors). The car is an old piece of shit now, so all the wires and connectors are also old pieces of shit.
