Depends on lines; with baggage, the earliest, I call 8:45.

If you're trying to skimp on airport parking then park at Maccas and wait for phone call...or chance your 20 minutes in the wait and collect zone on the way to terminal 4.

Or do what other tight asses do and pull over on the Tulla pretending to be broken down lol

The maccas outside the airport can be a pain for parking since all the chauffeurs park there... Try getting off the exit before the airport, there's a much bigger maccas just at the exit. Think that exit is called mck something.

thats a kinda busy time at airport, on a plus note it means more ppl working. lucky it just b4 a 380 but if her flight delayed it will push out quickly.

I normally go with 30 min.

that said I have been in a taxi in under 10 min from landing once!

make sure you track the plane to know the actual landing time and then work with 15-20 min from that.

RS5 y u no drag me. You didn't buy the sports model, you bought the racing model...why do this if you're gonna take off like a Hyundai Excel. Did the smell of burning sugarcane scare you?

Answer me!

RS4 was no racing model when I drove it, my guess is the RS5 isn't much better.

even worse this morning

but when you command a 350kw battle ship nothing is a racing model :woot:

Perhaps. I just expected more.

I think it needed twin turbo and ethanol, but there just wasn't room, and it was a hatch so no boot. :P

only rs model ive ever driven was an old rs6 wagon from (i think) early 2000's. was a mint car on das autobarn.

Take the "Freight" exit, which is currently used for the Long Term Parking, on your left there will be a waiting area designed specifically for people like you who just want to hang out and wait for planes to land so you're not doing laps constantly or clogging up maccas.

Mickelham Rd?

This. I sit in the car park till i know the person has collected baggage, then sit in pick-up zone waiting for them. If you get kicked out, do a lap round the block and start again.

BRING IT OOOOOOOOON

Meh, I just don't drive to the airport since it costs me $80 in fuel for the trip.

Came back from Sydney on Monday... Long Term Car park from Saturday 7am until Monday 11am cost me $70 (3 days).

I seem to remember leaving the car there for a full week once, and I think it was about $90... Blergh.

    • Nah that is not actually a lot. Just painting my GTR frontend and the little bits to make sideskirts/nismo flare pieces work correctly/fit on the sedan/mount up correctly came to about $7000. Is it a lot? Sure. None of this is economical. Economy would be shelling the car and buying a 2010 Corolla to commute in. The perspective of all of this is different.
    • I have the re003s’ on my 06 XT Forester Turbo and I highly rate them for street wet and dry
    • I don't see any issues here. I've been saying all along this is a big job, the price reflects that.  When the car comes back perfect I'm sure it will feel like money well spent.
    • Remember, take original quote. Double it. Then add a bit more. It's how any project goes.
    • So, I started this repair and got as far as "fixing" the holes with some fibreglass. God all those years working on boats came back quickly. I decided I'd reach out to some rust guys just to see what they would say about it. I came across a guy about 40 mins away and went to see him. He said the windscreen needs to come out, that there might be some more bits around the windscreen and he'd quote them at the time. But his quote was $300 to remove and replace windscreen and $3k for the damage he can see. He said he could respray the roof for $1200 and the bonnet for another $800 (somebody has previously rattle canned it, its horrendous). This is $5300 + any small additional bits. It's a lot, I get that and the name of one of my fave youtube channels 'Not Economically Viable' comes to mind.  I'm not being financially rational, but I've taken him up on the quote. He's opening a new shop in November with more room, so we're waiting for that. I'll leave the currently missing headliner out until then. I'm looking forward to it being fixed and having the paint looking nice again (lots of clear coat issues on the roof too). / flame suit on.
