YO!!!! :action-smiley-069:
Am back from nam.
Am craving to ride motorbikes now that I've done quite a bit over there, the first hired bike didn't have a working horn. #wasnotfun

What have I missed the past month?
Update me peeps.

Meanwhile nathans pushing 380kw at the hubs, standard nur spec, on ethanol.. and was actually caning it too! Passenger laps were sick.

george was going nuts as well haha

#northsiderepresent

Yes but they are gtrawkw

So that's like an extra 40% power in the real world yeah?

Mini Cooper s convertible was adamant on dragging the Gloria one quiet Sunday morning. Rolling back and forward at the lights, revving the motor etc. Auto and low down torque make it a piece of cake to launch, after that the mini never gained any ground. He pulled up beside me grinning, trying to exchange a glance or something? Tint was too dark, so he couldn't see shit lol #VIP #eadc

At least... it's also faster in all situations despite the extra weight over a gtst.

LOL

For some reason there were only 2 cars that HAD to try it on when I had the 33... Cooper S and golf GTI/R

Some dude in a cooper S tried it on once to impress some blonde bimbo in the passenger seat, I held it level with him for a bit of fun until about half way through second... gave him a toot, gave the 33 a clutch kick and left him in the rear view... At the next set of lights on the private road the look on his face was priceless... pure rage.... and the bimbo was almost in tears laughing

I could hear turbo spool so could have been turbo swapped and was sporting an exhaust.

Probably flash tuned though for dat fuel economy.

The JCW minis are factory turbo

Mate of mine has a modded one, bit strange considering he's a great bloke

lol

Needs more JDM Rims...

Will be dropping them off tonight at about 8:00 or so

Somehow I don't think Koya constitutes JDM lol

the ones that are offset by the lack of VCT?

Better plenum, head flows better than GTS-T, generally makes torque earlier on than a GTS-T which makes close to 300kw. Not sure why you think a GTR 9 times out of 10 isn't going to be faster than a GTST with similar power.

What about this guy

Hamish is probably refering to track times on the basis of 4wd and higher weight vs rwd and lighter weight if all else being equal

    • I can see between the water jacket and cyl 3 there wasn't a hard line of combustion gas. It certainly appears that the issue is coming from there. Yes, checked the tension. All at 100ft lbs where I set them 5 years ago. These blocks can crack but generally when they have been over bored. Mine is only 0.5mm oversize at 89.5mm. They break between cylinders around the 91mm mark. No sign of that with mine. My gut feeling is the head gasket lifted a while back when the studs stretched and i bandaided it by retorquing the studs. It's finally let go.
    • My Nismo 1.5 churps a bit on reverse turns when cold, but besides that feels like a stock diff.
    • Yes, but, I paid cash and I'm pretty sure the receipt was in the bin 10 minutes after I got home Note to self, keep all receipts
    • Bunnings would have just handed you your money back on that one!
    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
