Defamation = a falsehood

If it's true and you can prove it, it's not defamation.

But that's just the law...rules of SAU are a different ball game and just because it's legal to post a true story doesn't mean the mods will allow you to report your negative experience about a workshop because simply put, they don't know what's true or what's not and libel appearing on SAU can leave the forum's owner liable for prosecution should the stories/experiences turn out not be true...

Anyone good with basic legal advice, mainly concerning defamation?

I took my car to a local tyre place to have my guards rolled, and it was subsequently damaged after they used a trolley jack to lift it without any sort of adapter or rubber pad.

Now I don't want to put them out of business or slander them, but I do feel its necessary for others to know what happened, especially after I they refused fixing it, or any sort of reimbursement.

Can/should you name businesses online and post what happened, or can it land you in trouble?

They probably arent. But if they are Google review them with an accurate account of what happened that'll alert others.

They're probably some slap shop like most after market car places so you'll likely get threatened with bodily harm or something equally professional in response.

Tis why I stick with manufacturers / big companies.

Yeah I dunno enough about it will have to see my guy

Going back to the loan talk, found my papers 4.28% i think it was.. not sure if it's any good compared to you kents

Edited by UNR33L

Rate doesn't really matter without context. You need the comparison rate. For all we know you could be paying more on your 4.28 than dezz on his 4.7 or whatever.

It's like talking power figures without taking weight into consideration

Meh I'm not in door to door racing.

Also most of the pulsar challenge guys are very quick.

New qualifying record at Winton is 1:42 flat. That's with controlled coilovers, RS3's and stock everything else (80~90kw atw)

Technically when it's a pulsar meet it's backdoor to backdoor racing

Anyone else getting bad gateway when trying to open this thread on a pc? Opens fine on the app but not on pc, yet all other threads open fine...

Not today, last night I had a few... sticky cache with the front end load balancer I believe... If it does it again, try change the page number... see if it loads then.

    • Totally equivalent. Stock often goes from the comp cover because that's where the actuator is also installed and the factory needs 2" of hose to make the connection - and it comes as a pre-assembled unit. They totally have a boost reference from somewhere between the turbo and the throttle(s). Oh, jeez. Just do it in M12 then. We don't actually care that much. I would expect any such AN converter fitting to rely on an o-ring or some other seal onto a flat surface under the flange of the hex**, because bolt threads are no intended to provide a pressure seal. unlike..... pipe threads. **which also requires a suitably flat and smooth surface on the turbo's boss to provide the seal.
    • I also used NP   That’s were it’s seems to be the best place to fit it? All schematic shows also that it’s should be referenced from the turbo housing. But idk, I do see high hp cars without any connection or anything to their turbos, so I really don’t know how they connect their things
    • I do have loctite 243 and 246 and a few more models. I could drill it now in place and make new threads for m12 and order an4 - m12 coupling and fit that to the turbo. Run a braided hose to the EBC which I could get a an4 to 1/8npt
    • So M12 and sealant should be fine?    NPT ” because that’s what I had and what I could get atm.
    • Wouldn’t touch par if they gave it to me. You need to ask how much power you’re looking to make and then add about 50% to it because that’s what you’ll end up making  The factory box says no more at about 350kw or so, the upgraded synchro boxes won’t handle much over 500kw for long and at that point you’re looking at an auto or dog engagement manual,  once you’ve gone dog engagement you may as well go sequential, they cost a little bit more but it’s worth it  also while you’re at it you should upgrade the transfer case with 10 friction plates
