I'll just take cash.

Vietnam seems too much like Bali..?

I'm gonna sound like a hipster here...but Vietnam is much less mainstream than Bali and a very different place. There are tourists, but few and far between; the place isn't crawling with them and the country is so big you can go anywhere and be the only white guy. You'll love it.

Also Cat Ba island and any of the islands in Ha Long Bay for dat dere beach holiday.

just throw some high vis on the passenger seat and you should be right to park anywhere

maybe leave a 7-11 Jumbo sized coffee and a Brumby's bag on the seat just to be sure

Yeah parents went to Vietnam few times will have to ask em about it

The awkward moment when you crash the exchange server and drop out everyones mailboxes, started sweating at my desk :\ thankfully was for only 10mins and hopefully no seniors noticed..

holiday ideas.

I'm going to be hipster here and suggest something that you could do before it gets too cool...

forget Thailand, done to death.

Vietnam ha, enjoy food poisoning getting ripped off and poor quality everything. would never suggest. (well unless you do a tour and follow the sheep)

Loved walking down the street and watching people carry their kids out to defecate in the gutter

so if you want beach, cheap, lots of activities, do Boracay in the Philippines.

beers sub 1$ all the usual things like parasailing, diving (got to see some cool wildlife when I went out) sailing and lots of very cheap seafood.

fly into Manila then catch a small plane down to the islands.

or if you want to do something completely different, go to Laos.

other than Viet Vian there just not the tourists. (but that's where you go for the drugs.)

and riding a slow boat down the meekong is super relaxing.

expect more hiking and sightseeing rather than action however.

All depends on what you define as a holiday.

To some its experiencing a culture, a different way of living etc

Whilst some prefer buffets, outdoor sports & privacy

If you are looking for a white-mans holiday retreat, I don't think Vietnam would fit the bill.

Although I did a 2 day stay at Sheraton hotel in Vietnam. The days consisted of 5-star accommodation, buffet dinners & snorkelling the coral reef. The experience felt cheap & tacky and couldn't wait to go back to the real Vietnam

lived there for months.

ate with the locals went out with the locals.

plus tried the tourist shit on weekends.

never want to go back.

more so considering how much the locals hate the tourists,

they sit around with a beer at end of day discussing who screwed a tourist over the most.

meh, the extra dollars ripped off would be more helpful to the local than an extra vodka-bucket for your holiday.

Tourists are nothing more than a faceless cash-cow business.

No different to how businesses in Australia rip off larger cash-cow businesses.

Treat it as a business exchange and not as a personal attack. Your travel money would probably rival local business turnover.

Yeah but the tourists go home talking about how cheap everything was and how this poor sap only earns $20 a day

Everybody wins

This. It's no different from anything done anywhere else in the world, just less of a facade and not as much beating around the bush - just humanity in its rawest form

Plenty of salesmen high fiving each other after a good deal

ladies

blitz vs justjap oil cooler

pros vs cons

I used to have a JJR Oil Cooler (Cooling Pro I think it was) and everything about it felt cheap. Fittings were loose and it was generally not great... If you do go for it, remember to use the right adaptor for the oil filter thread, since I heard "someone" accidentally used the Toyota one which does screw on, until it pops off and dumps all your oil in a line down the street.

Have since upgraded to a nice tomei one and it looks and performs really well.

Also the JJR one didn't have a thermostat, so it took like 20 minutes for the engine oil to get up to temperature... no good for a street car (or a track car)

    • Totally equivalent. Stock often goes from the comp cover because that's where the actuator is also installed and the factory needs 2" of hose to make the connection - and it comes as a pre-assembled unit. They totally have a boost reference from somewhere between the turbo and the throttle(s). Oh, jeez. Just do it in M12 then. We don't actually care that much. I would expect any such AN converter fitting to rely on an o-ring or some other seal onto a flat surface under the flange of the hex**, because bolt threads are no intended to provide a pressure seal. unlike..... pipe threads. **which also requires a suitably flat and smooth surface on the turbo's boss to provide the seal.
    • I also used NP   That’s were it’s seems to be the best place to fit it? All schematic shows also that it’s should be referenced from the turbo housing. But idk, I do see high hp cars without any connection or anything to their turbos, so I really don’t know how they connect their things
    • I do have loctite 243 and 246 and a few more models. I could drill it now in place and make new threads for m12 and order an4 - m12 coupling and fit that to the turbo. Run a braided hose to the EBC which I could get a an4 to 1/8npt
    • So M12 and sealant should be fine?    NPT ” because that’s what I had and what I could get atm.
    • Wouldn’t touch par if they gave it to me. You need to ask how much power you’re looking to make and then add about 50% to it because that’s what you’ll end up making  The factory box says no more at about 350kw or so, the upgraded synchro boxes won’t handle much over 500kw for long and at that point you’re looking at an auto or dog engagement manual,  once you’ve gone dog engagement you may as well go sequential, they cost a little bit more but it’s worth it  also while you’re at it you should upgrade the transfer case with 10 friction plates
