On the knock out rounds you do but not during the free runs

I've seen it at the finals at Eastern Creek.

As for penalties, it depends on who you are from my experience.

I know there's likely more skill in drag racing, getting a car to leave well etc, but I do wish there was some roll racing closer to me. It seems like a great way to blow off some steam with your mates, hear angry spooly boi noises, trap some fun km/h and hopefully not be as rough on the car as hard launches are.

Another great night at Roll Racing

Made light work of a 5.0L V8...

As you can see, my oil pressure gauge is rising nicely as I power through each gear. Stock bottom end , stock gearbox , and still going strong !!!!!! 80° oil temp ALL night baby, this is a turn key package.

watch me gain about 10 car lengths on this piece of Detroit muscle

Wow you actually did it! You f**king beat a v8 wow man high five.

Wow again, thanks for sharing the incredible moment. How hot was the turbine housing?

Shit yes, wasn't hard pal. Despite your obvious sarcasm, factually your response is bang on!!!

When you gonna race my Kamikaze S15? Wouldn't mind seeing you throw your toys when I dust ya!

Come to Adelaide bro, then we can hug it out.

this thing run a number yet?

Not yet...but from a 40kmh roll on a 250m course, I'm trapping over 205kmh at the finish line.

That's serious business for a 2.0L with a torque limited tune!!! The top end is just limitless really - the head is just begging for more boost. It's making the power so easy and I'm f**king slingshotting in 4th gear on other cars.

Even with a stock bottom end its a 300kmh speed rocket.

Is it running boost by gear?

I think I need to dust off my hoon jacket.

I've been spending a little time making some small improvements to the S15. I had the wiring for the speed controller modified with 4 Pin Deutsche plugs to handle some extra current, and fabricated 2 Brackets and mounted it adjacent the surge tank. After that, spent a little time detailing the original paint back to glass finish and finished it with Dodo Carnuba Wax.

Emptied the oil catch can which presented around 15ml worth of oil after 5,000kms of driving, thus meaning there is next to no blowby. Should have the car out at Roll Racing next month, although damn, the itch to get a Samsonas sequential is wearing me down LOL

    • Oil change does not trigger code 21. Code 21 is for coilpacks primary side connection. You can try to clear the code with a battery disconnect, hold down the brake pedal to drain capacitors through the brake lights with the ignition on for 10-15 seconds before you reconnect the battery. I have seen R35 coil conversion permanently cause this code with no ill effects so it might be the resistance it wants to see isn't quite right on one or more coilpacks. Could be inside the ECU, could be the harness, could be a coil. You can test it all if you want or just ignore until the car actually starts misfiring.
    • I forgot you have a Nistune ECU. Use Nistune to do all the tests I mentioned instead of faffing with 30+ year old electrical connectors. You can read MAF volts off that too, there are reference values in the service manual to tell you roughly what it should be in different conditions.
    • No. I think it might be the AFM. Hence the use of the terms "swaptronics", which implies the use of swapping out electronics for the purpose of diagnosis. It's about the only way to prove that a small/niggling/whatever problem with an AFM or a CAS or similar is actually caused by that AFM/CAS/whatever. A known good item swapped in that still gives the same problem is likely to be caused somewhere else. They're all the same. Spraying AFMs with cleaner is an each way bet between cleaning it and f**king it.
    • Oh wow! This might actually work amazingly. Do you know the ratio of the diff? I was told the only thing you need to make sure of is if the front & rear diff ratios are the same. Ours is a 4.083 Thanks!
    • You think its the AFM? I know its a common issues on R32s. I find it coincidental how this issue raised right after cleaning the fuel system. As everything except the fuel system was fine before. I tried running it with the IACV unplugged but did not notice a difference and still stalled. However, the RPM gauge is not in the cluster right now, so I will need to connect the laptop again and use Nistune to check the RPM. I will check this weekend.
