sweefu
Hey guys, I've moved to Victoria very recently and I'm not too sure where everything is yet. Can anyone recommend a good place to find an M12x1.75 thread repair kit? I had a look around Lillydale/Chirnside area and couldn't find much beside SCA and Repco both of which had none.Preferably out near Lilydale/Croydon/Nunawading sort of areas but I'm happy to travel - good way to get to know the place. blackrex
How can you forget that Lilydale has a small industrial area? half the place is an industrial area! or did you lose the Cavehill estate amongst all of the others? battery
Yeh buy online. Went to economy bolts in dandy to get a m12 set a while back and it was over $70.. Sunkist
I actually found Eco bolts to be quite reasonable.. I mean factoring in shipping for stuff bought online and then waiting 2 weeks for $10 cheaper wasn't really worth it Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/435137-where-to-buy-helicoilthread-repair/#findComment-7113411 Share on other sites
battery
Most of the stuff they sell is pretty good value but the heli coil stuff not so much.. The guys in the dandy store are pretty good too bar the depressed one who looks like he wants to kill himself all the time lol Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/435137-where-to-buy-helicoilthread-repair/#findComment-7113428 Share on other sites

Odium
Love it when places have employees with a reputation in communities. Like old Kumbak wreckers... My work's got an account with Economy Bolts in Moorabbin, it's a bit more expensive that some other places, but I can walk in there with the vaguest description of what I'm after and they'll come back in 30 seconds with 3 things that'll work better for the application than what I was after, even if it's half the cost of what I originally wanted. They really know their stuff. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/435137-where-to-buy-helicoilthread-repair/#findComment-7113500 Share on other sites
