What a cruise! Lots of highlights, here are some of the photos. You can see some more on flickr https://www.flickr.com/photos/114247084@N04/

One of the highlights was seeing the worlds largest Sundial. Amazing sculpture at the Halfway Roadhouse, with a massive turnout for the day.

Can't wait for the next cruise which the SAUNSW Team already have in the pipeline!

Awesome photos! I saw you on the side of the road as we left the Truck Stop and super stoked you got a nice shot of my car despite it's deformities! :worship:

Really enjoyed the day - thanks to the organisers and all the participants. I had to get out of the Royal Hotel soon after smashing down a massive Schnitty to meet a family obligation at 4pm. Did ok for traffic but copped the hail soon after coming off the F3 and had zero visibility by Gordon!

Can still taste the E85 coming out the back of Mick's beast 34 - got quite used to it after the first 20kms!

Cheers to the photographers too.

Merry Christmas all!

Thanks to all involved in organising such a good cruise - it was good to catch up with everyone before Christmas.

We made the decision to go home by the Putty Road and managed to get caught in the middle of the storm - much excitement ! ! !

There was that much water over the road that anything above 2 grand and the car just broke into wheel spin and at the worst of it we were doing 40 km and could not see enough to do any more.

The water was that deep that the mags on my car have flow marks that reflect where the water was going through the spokes - we were thinking that we should have brought the Hilux instead of a Skyline.

We were very pleased to see the relative safety of Windsor compared to where we had been.

Thanks to everyone who brought their cameras and took some great pictures.

I must have hit a rock, It sounded like something f**ked something in the rear passenger wheel...

It squealed like a pig all the way down the ridge. when i Finally found a place to stop, I took the wheel off & break pads out and it was a horrid grinding noise. the dust plate thingy looked a little bent so gave it a whack to move it away from the break rotor. nope still grinding and crunching away.

decided to just limp it home so put pads back in & wheel back on...2 metres of grinding and it stopped..... FIXED!!!! I managed to drive all the way home home no issue as well as to and from work today with no issues.

thanks to Cieran for stopping with me & thank god we didn't get any rain while messing about.

this car and its weird disappearing issues... no idea.

Hey guys, being my first SAU NSW to be involved in, I thought it was a great day. Although I'm more of a track dude than a cruise dude, I hadn't driven putty before so I'm pretty pleased with how it all went. Look forward to seeing some familiar faces on the next one now.

Cheers,

Jacko.

    • Yep, the closest base tune available was for the GTT, I went with that and made all the logical changes I could find to convert it to Naturally Aspirated. It will rev fine in Neutral to redline but it will be cutting nearly 50% fuel the whole way.  If I let it tune the fuel map to start with that much less fuel it wont run right and has a hard time applying corrections.  These 50% cuts are with a fuel map already about half of what the GTT tune had.  I was having a whole lot of bogging when applying any throttle but seem to have fixed that for no load situations with very aggressive transient throttle settings. I made the corrections to my injectors with data I found for them online, FBCJC100 flowing 306cc.  I'll have to look to see if I can find the Cam section. I have the Bosch 4.9 from Haltech. My manifold pressure when watching it live is always in -5.9 psi/inHg
    • Hi My Tokico BM50 Brake master cylinder has a leak from the hole between the two outlets (M10x1) for brake pipes, I have attached a photo. Can anyone tell me what that hole is and what has failed to allow brake fluid to escape from it, I have looked on line and asked questions on UK forums but can not find the answer, if anyone can enlighten me I would be most grateful.
    • It will be a software setting. I don't believe many on here ever used AEM. And they're now a discontinued product, that's really hard to find any easy answers on. If it were Link or Haltech, someone would be able to just send you a ECU file though.
    • Yes sir am asking is there possible way from aem tuner from wiring pins
    • Have you checked cam to crank timing and confirmed balancer marks are correct?
