They are in whatever format I d/l'd them in. Obviously not talking about the things with a billion seeders... the ones with no choices

Also I never cared when I was d/l'ing for iTunes as it converts most things automatically.

Switched to Spotify subscription with offline mode to get rid of MP3's so I could have flavour of the week chunes on the fly.

Then I switched to Apple Music, with offline mode.

Instant regret. Can't manage playlists as well as in Spotify. Apple Music app is nowhere near as intuitive as Spotify on the iPhone. Everytime you update your iOS it wipes out your offline files and you have to get it to sync again, cos apparently iTunes doesn't know if your phone has files set to offline mode. Ugh.

Sound quality of apple music is better though, thru lineout with a headphone amp. Also tighter integration with iOS and Apple TV is nice.

One of these days I'll care enough to switch back to Spotify.

To me spotify hq is good enough, i aint that anal about quality.

And yes, spotify subscription is the best thing ever. I just leave itouch in car, auto syncs my offline lists via wifi when i get home.
