I told you what you should do if you were gonna mod a 34 sedan or Stagea, Moh....

(the answer is: Don't)

Or if you must, buy someone else's project, the bigger the project the bigger the savings.

Yeah it's been awesome, am very lucky. I still think the share is ridiculously undervalued given the company prospects and asset potential, which is why I haven't sold out. Just gotta think of the profits as reinvestment instead of taking it out.

88e is doing a good job of flying under the investment radar, which will send it into orbit if/when we cop good news and mainstream media starts reporting it. That's pretty much how it ten bagged last time.

I'm still in the red, bought in too late :P

Has it got ecu? How much can you get ecu? Injectors/exhaust/intercooler/hi-flow then be done. Don't touch it after that.

nah, just tein coil overs

its a series 2 so, neo motor.
is really neat so just thinking nistune, injectors, highflow and keep the stock side mount for maximum surprise.

I'm gonna disagree with this.
I've rebuilt every aspect of the pulsar minus the gearbox (stay tuned for that one).
A few reasons why it was a bad choice:
Seller was asking a lot and very firm on price and extra parts.
70% of the professional work done was super poor. It worked and was hidden, but not good enough to anything beyond occasional road duties.

Hindsight: build from the ground up and learn to do it properly in the process. Or better yet, start with another's project that has some goodies THEN tear it down and remove all the shit.

True, its probably best you can either a) Vouch for the car/owner and b) Absolutely know what you are looking at.

It can obviously burn you badly, but if you know what you are doing its the way forward.
However usually done through having been burned in the past, but hey 99% of people here on SAU will know what they are doing regarding other people's projects and know when to spot a bad apple

Clearly you haven't read any of the OP posts in the modifications area, or been anywhere near the facebook group.

OK...I'll pay that.. It is pretty clear a lot of the Facebook group queries certainly consult FB before google..

It's so true but makes zero sense. Maybe the day people can't be bothered responding on fb will be the day people stop asking before Google.

    • Working through possible solutions of converting my mechanical speedo.    Anyone know what type of speedo sensor the factory r34 gtr getrag has ? what the output is ? I assume its not a VSS and more a voltage like earlier speedo sensors ? Can an ECU read it ?

    • I can get more photos of it here soon and I plan to make a thread detailing the process. I received the car this way and it sorely needs refinishing. That is probably the most appealing photo of it. Up close it is fading, cracked, and needs to be re-glued. Depending on their condition I'm on the fence between refinishing or making a new set.  Another angle hiding the pimples and razor pumps
    • According to this thread the RS4V with build plate RC40 comes with the R200 diff @ 4.083 ratio as well (mine has said RC40 denotation). We may need to check if the axle stubs are the same pattern as well. The auto subframes have longer axles. However I think yours being a later Series 2 as well, we should have the same bolt pattern for the diff stubs. Unless your upgraded rear also has upgraded axles. Either way, I would not be opposed to pulling the covers to check so I can inspect that  fancy rear core  Also I don't have HICAS. I don't believe that should change things but I hope the people here with heaps more experience than me can correct me if I'm wrong   Let me know if you want to attempt to make this work and I can get some pictures of mine from under the car.
    • It's not that straightforward. For example I have had this code because my ignitor/power transistor wires were unplugged. It knows something is wrong but has no idea what it means. If you want to actually diagnose this I recommend following the service manual flowchart for code 21. Ohm out the harness, coilpacks, inspect the ECU, etc. And again, it's entirely possible for there to be no problem at all but if you're running a different coilpack it'll trigger the code because it doesn't like what it sees.
