Hey guys

I was wondering if anyone can help me out with this I have searched and found nothing So

I have a R33 RB25 det Power Fc and I wanted to know if I could Run it in my R34 GTT neo RB25.

I know there have been people running GTR FC's in Rb20 and 25's

But I wanted to know if this could be done from the 33 version into a 34. I understand there would be wireing changes needed.

But Has anyone had any success or actually done this ??

All help would be much appreciated guys thanks in advance

Ash

No you can't. The R34 ECU plug is completely different to the R33.

I mean, you can if you want to re-pin 60-70 pins but it's not worth the hassle. You wont have an issue selling your R33 PFC.

best ECU in world, :special:

well for $600 secondhand and being plug and play it is..

Dude ...[emoji14]Link ecu, Halltech, Motec, AEM, Adaptronic

1000 times better in nomather what subject, closed loop idle, boost control, knock control, boost by gear, boost by throttle ect ect and they do also offer plug-ins. Okay a lot more expensive, but do the math, ecu + bigger maf + decent boost controller, and if you map yourself, nistune or pfc you need the software ... You come really close to the price off a decent ecu.

Just my 2 cents... [emoji6] [emoji1]

Plus for the OP it is NOT plug and play (wrong plug on car for the PFC).

I'm not a high roller, using a siet bok adaptronic :)

Considered halaltech many times, but realised it's worth 1/2 my siet bok.. so no lol

The new software, eugene, of adaptronic, has taken the ecu to a much better package imho then the wari software. They also provide a new range soon [emoji3]

Software is one thing however when you think about it, your motor (assuming RB2xxxx) needs a total of 12 drivers to make it fully sequentially however the Select range offers 8.

That means injectors are paired into 3 sets for semi sequential firing and also same goes for spark.

Not the end of the world but inefficiencies are had.

How many drivers does power fc have?

Powerfc and Nistune are literally the same neither is light years ahead they are still the same age hardware wise.... we are one of the biggest Nistune dealers and yes i love them but to trash PFC is foolhardly... the pfc is still the best bang for buck rb25 ecu on the planet....

Ok so I'll sell my pwr fc and buy a fc 4 the neo.

Who's running a nistune? And what power figures are u getting?

I haven't been around 4 a while, but it's Darkhalf who's behind the nistune right.

We deal with pete @ nistune (all the orders) but im pretty sure they are 50/50 partners MATT and PETER.

Skys the limit with nistune and PFC as we can now measure up to around 1500hp with HPX airflow meters

How you going along with that MAP kit for Nistune? I remember you were toying with the idea bout 4~5 years ago

But with the MAP kit, would it take into account IAT as well? Could be primitive, as IAT increases load increase which naturally means you'll read heavier loads resulting in lower timing and more fuel (which will over richen as you want to compensate high IAT with less fuel as there's less oxygen but not necessarily a bad thing keeps shit cool)

    • How dare you sell your unreliable Skyline and buy a reliable, Toyota/Yamaha car with a strong gearbox, torsen LSD and Toyota reliability. At least you won't need to worry about oil pumps, big catch can, oil restrictors, blowing off power steering belts, sheering off 3rd gear, failing ABS relays/pumps, etc.
    • Hope you aren't too sore after that one, might take a day or 2 to notice yet and I guess it is a loooooong drive home. On the bright side, tube frame front end is a thing at superlap, right?

    • The chart of front pressure to rear pressure (with one being on the x axis and the other being on the y axis) is not a straight line on a typical proportioning valve. At lower pressures there is a straight line with one slope, and at higher pressures that changes to a lower slope. That creates a bend in the line at that pressure, called the knee point. If you do not change the proportionng as the pressure gets higher, you will suffer excessive pressure (at one end of the car or the other, depending on which way you look at the proportioning action) and then get lockups at that end. The HFM BM57, from my memory of previous discussions, is based on the BM57 from a different car (to a Skyline), with a different requirement for the location of the knee point and the distribution of pressure front to rear, and so is not a good choice for an upgrade on a Skyline. Here's a couple of links to some old posts, one from here, one from elsewhere. A lot of it pertains to adjustable prop valves, but the idea is the same. There are plenty of discussions on here about this issue from al the many years of people wanting a cheap/accessible option. https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/ https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/forum/grm/learn-me-brake-proportioning-valves/236880/page1/
    • Yeah dunno why johhny posted that here with no context, just post on FB/insta bro where he put it up?  Laine had an off at T4 during Thurs prac, he's ok, car is less than perfect, they are done for the weekend, he can fill in the rest. Bando also binned it like 100m up the road.
