Are those Regamaster 17x10 wheels? Looking good

You bet I found them on a Japanese auction used. They aren’t perfect but look not bad. I really wanted a set of volk vs-xx but way outta my budget as getting the motor and awd system on this car right broke the bank. I did have another question for you about the car. I am pulling the motor next week to do my oil pump gears and clutch. Just an opinion if you think I should go with an extended crank collar or just continue with what I have and install the remax gears. Car runs 400wkw and rarely sees over 7 thousand rpm. Cheers m8 your help has been appreciated. I do have a very good machine shop in town, my engine runs very well I just don’t wanna screw anything up and loose my engine to oil failure. I know lots of threads just want some personal opinions first from guys that know.

you have a 1993 GTR so 'should' have the long nose crank already...

ok thanks that's good news mate! I didn't know they changed the clutch slave push/pull on this year as well...found this out last night as well when I was under there unplugging stuff...I noticed it was different then my last r32 gtr and did a quick search finding out it hasn't been changed/modified and that's how the car comes stock I guess. still learning lots!

ya I can confirm the crank collar is an extended one I can post pics.  looks to be in real nice shape I think I will reuse it. thanks again...

Hey dude nah the OP hasn't responded I don't think they're looking at selling.

ahh would have been a great project. gts or gtr have become super hard to find in my area. most have been neglected by younger fellows or completely over hauled and stored.  if I was in your area I would have more cars and zero money haha. im currently in the transaction of another gts r32 with awd.  was a similar situation I can get it for cheap with a bunch of issues. cars gunna be painted joker purple for my wife will be a wild project im sure! good luck with finding another build brotha.

Post some pics when you pick it up.

I missed the GT-R boat long, long ago unfortunately. A wife, house and couple of kids does that so I'm happy with the GTS-T. The prices of GT-R are blowing up now for sure but in time so will the boat, no where near GT-R prices but still will have their place.

I hear yeah brotha...im in the same boat I can barely afford my gtr I actually sold a bucket truck from my fleet to buy it. I will forsure send some pics of the gts! not doing a build thread on it but will ad the pics to this one. I like the gts rear wheel drive platform more than the gtr...ive driven a 500whp track gts it hooked like my gtr and would have killed it on a straight line too.  there all just metal mate cant take em to the grave all the same to me haha...

ive always fought with my attessa systems to work properly through all the different gtrs Ive  had in past. buying this gts will keep k off the r and will be super fun to drive!

I’ve always had this evc but never wanted to install it as every time I got reading about setting it up seemed pretty complicated for what it was worth. Anyway I like the screen and the a and b setting option so I figured fak it give it a shot. I still don’t know if it’s set up right through the evc, although I know the plumbing is right. Any pointers would be great I didn’t bother hooking up the rpm or tps signals. Seems to work fine I reach my target boosts and a bit more sometimes in low gears....1.3 on -5s feels great! Also I mounted the step motor upside down just cause it fit better you can see in the pictures. If anyone thinks this is a bad idea let me know seems to work fine tho. Last photo is where you run the wires through the wirewall behind the wheel well on driver side.

I think I read earlier you have a haltech, why are you not using that to control boost as is a lot better and can build in some safety?

Hey mate of course. I have it set to same target boost. I use it as a boost gauge really. Like I said I don’t care about the functions, the car seems to run the same just wanted to see if anyone thought it would damage anything. I like how it looks to just a cool piece. I have some rare hks gauges I wanted to mount up beside this controller just for looks.

Edited by MoMnDadGTR

It’s Does run a little more boost with some creep now but the car feels great and my air fuels are wayyyyy better now according to the gauge. I’m gunna leave the setup just went for a rip she feels like an animal now. I don’t wanna touch my haltec I just got by car back it was locked up at Toyota”virus reasons”. Once my tuner is back I’ll have him set it up again make sure all is safe. New stainless 4” custom exhaust this weekend will update!

These ph hks gauges were over ten years old still OG in box!! Will post some pics on eve I get these mounted up with the evc, going to figure out the mounting In The centre vent with a custom made plate gunna be beefy.

    • Welcome to SAU, what are you looking at buying?
    • I checked the injectors again (1 and 2, since they’re easiest to access) to make sure they weren’t clogged. Even though the entire fuel system had been cleaned, I wanted to be certain. Everything looked clean, so I reinstalled and connected everything. When I started the car to confirm everything was okay, it immediately revved up high, so I shut it off straight away. I checked to see if I’d missed a vacuum hose or something, but everything was connected. On the second attempt, the car ran without the high idle, but I noticed a distinct “compressed air” sound coming from the engine bay. Tracing the sound, I pushed injector #6 forward slightly and the noise stopped — it turned out it wasn’t seated properly, despite the fuel rail being bolted down. While holding it in place, the car idled steadily without stalling and ran for over 5 minutes. At this point, I pulled all six injectors out just in case I hadn’t seated them correctly or dirt had gotten onto the O-rings. Unfortunately, I discovered that I had damaged 3 out of 6 injectors (the OEM 270cc ones) during installation. So yes, this was my fault. Since only the pintle caps were damaged, I’ve ordered a Fuel Injector Service Kit from NZEFI to refurbish them. In the meantime, I reinstalled my new injectors – the car now idles fine for over 15 minutes without stalling. I have not attempted to drive it so far. It’s not perfect yet, as it hesitates when the throttle is pressed, but it’s a big improvement. Unplugging the IACV with the new injectors idles at around 800rpm, even with the IACV screw tightened fully. But this is probably due to tune.
    • I wanted to try and preserve the front bumper as long as possible, they're not cheap and are made to order in Japan. Taking inspiration from my previous K11 Micra build where I made an undertray for the Impul bumper, I did the same for this BN Sports bumper but a little slimmed down.  This time round I only made a 'skid plate' (if that's the correct wording/term) for just the bumper surface area, the Micra version covered the gap like an undertray. Starting off with a sheet of mild steel approx. 0.9mm thick 4ft x 2ft in size. I traced around the bumper, cut it out and cleaned the edges. Luckily I was able to get two halves from one piece of metal In the video I installed it as is, but I've since then I've removed it to spray and add a rubber edging trim. The rubber trim is suitable for 1-2mm and it's a really nice tight fit. The bolts had to be loosened due to the plates being too tight against the bumper, the trim wouldn't push on I used some stainless M6 flat headed bolts for a flusher finish (rather than hex heads poking down), I believe this style fastener is used for furniture too incase you struggle to source some. The corner's are a little wider, but this may be an advantage incase I get close to bumping it  The front grill got some attention, finally getting round to repairing it. Upon removal one fixing pulled itself out of the plastic frame, one side is M8 that fixes inside of the frame, where as the other side is M5. Not knowing I could get replacements, I cut down an M8 bolt, threaded it inside the frame along with a decent amount of JB Weld.  The mesh was replaced to match the bumper. One hole on the bonnet/hood had to be drilled out to 8mm to accommodate the new stud, once the glue had set it could be refitted. I think the reason the grill was double meshed was to hide the horn/bonnet latch (which makes sense) but I much prefer it matching the bumper Bumper refitted and it's looking much better IMO The Youtube video can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bVZP35io9MA
    • The video for the servicing and fuel filter change can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uLJ65pmQt44 One of the main jobs I wanted to do before the car officially went on the road, was to remove the awful looking blue silicone hoses. There's nothing wrong with having coloured silicone hoses, but I realise as I'm getting older I prefer monotone engine bays with a splash of colour on the engine cover(s). I cover this in a lot more detail in the Youtube video, so unfortunately there's limited photos of the process. The intercooler, upper radiator, boost vacuum and upper breather hoses were all changed to black silicone with mikalor clamps. The only blue left is a blanking cap at the back of the inlet manifold and the GReddy pulleys (which will be replaced for stock when the cambelt gets replaced) While the intercooler pipes were off I gave them a quick clean/polish too A before photo I do have a replacement air filter on its way. Fuse box covers were painted blue, they're now satin black Another job on the list while the bumper was off, is to add some mesh https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/54737966256_99b28bfa30_c.jpg[/img] I was hoping to use some thin wire to secure it, but it seems I've misplaced it and the wire I had was too thick to twist easily. I ended up using cable ties for the time being https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/54737131882_c2b7989dcc_c.jpg[/img] Was pleasant to see this https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/54737131627_8b2aab13b3_c.jpg[/img] The last thing to do was to fix the front grill and re-mesh that to match but I ran out of time The Youtube video can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R4FsF6tgizE&t=23s
