so can we have atmo external gates? or is that a no-no?

You will be fine, if you have it plumbd up to your exhaust though i wouldnt bother disconnecting it. Do you make more power? Its much easier if you can hear what your car is doing, instead of just blaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ....blaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.....!!!!!!!!

Damn, I wanna go but:

- pending how soon I will get my L2S sent to me, and

- my old folks r here on Sunday as we'll be on the way to NZ in the following couple of days...

so I had to miss out I guess... :)

after plumbing mine back in today, i'd have to agree.

im going to leave it plumbed for the most part. I can actually hear if something goes wrong that way

Or as is the case with my car - all you can hear are the tunes pumping out! LOL

Bugger listening to what the car is doing - I know I much prefer to listen to some good music than say the noise of my second gear synchro dying a horrible death!

But then - I am kinda insane.

haha true.

have you rang up and cheked how many spots are left after all the sau guys names are put down as 100% attending?

dont put me down as a 100%

im only about 60% at the moment... wont know for sure until i find out how much it costs to fix the tail shaft issue... i tried going to ice after work at about 3.40 but they werent there... bloody slackers.

They never look under the car.

Based on my experience, they check:

....

fire extinguisher - they pull it out check date, but dont put it back in. slack

....

It only takes 2 minutes.  They are too lazy to get down on their knees and look under the car.

My fire extinguisher didnt come with one of those metal date punch card things.... do I need to get one before I go?

As of 4.00pm today there are still plenty of positions left. Lets see if we can get 20 cars entered:)

My car is still engineless... so fingers crossed the engine going is a good'n, otherwise i wont have time to rip it out and do what i should have all along and still make Sandown

Ah yep - remember now. Vinny owns the lude not the teg.

Who owns the white teg with the Red rims I see around? Is this Michael?

Nope, his runs the stockers... but on track day will have white CRV 16s with comp Rs...

By the way, anyone know how much / who to get insurance for the day?

Does Shannons do it?

ok i just worked out how much its going to cost to get it all done before the date and it just aint going to happen.

realistically its looking like late november early december this car will be ready for the track... thats with a new seat (current one is too small and will cause more damage than good), new rubber and the engine tuned etc.

Marcus - I gave up trying to find someone that did track day insurance. Lots of companies used to insure cars for track days (like Shannons) - but apparently even at stupid values like $500 for the day they were still losing money cause people were like,

"I don't know if I can go around this corner at the speed - but the cars insured so I may as well give it a go!".................. BANG!

As for getting 20 cars - well there will almost certainly be 3 more GTR's there. Benno, Crazy Tony and Tim (RBSleepR) - these guys usually fill 3 of the top 5 fastest times on the day so I think we should claim them as our own! LOL. And we have Crazy Frank coming to the HSV day so we'll convince him to join us as well. That would then make 10 GTR's. Thats a lot of GTR's!

    • I have more than enough digging, laying blocks, moving gravel, airrating, feeding and top soiling the grass, and setting up the veggie gardens growing some seedlings,  and then removing all the unused rock to keep me busy for the next few months at least,  hopefully the rain stops soon so I can get a few hours in this arvo, but, before that Sunday is washing day, is every body happy, you bet your life we are Nice country road day drives are a day off whenever I'm muscle sore from all the landscaping at the moment, but, more epic multiple day drives will start once the majority of the big jobs outside are completed
    • I hear that would involve some nice country road drives into the hills for Mark...
    • I thought I'd come back and add something I JUST learned. A Toyota LandCruiser with a 1HZ, mates perfectly with a bottle of Nulon brake fluid. As in, it perfectly screws in. Great make shift funnel when you cut the bottom of it off. This may work for your Corolla.   Unfortunately, tipping a 10L drum is much harder than a 4 to 6L bottle, and they no longer include the easy pour tap which was just perfection to use previously.
    • Guys since i bought r33 gts25t coupe 1994 automatic a/t(manual swap 350z gearbox)  all i got is problems, always problems. Lets start with that when i turn key into ignition(ON) fuel pump doesnt always works. Sometimes i have to turn key twice Off/on/off/on until it primes. Its new, dw300 - 340lph. My gearbox broke so i did gearbox swap, install different intake manifold, injectors and i take pipes. Car was sitting in garage for more than half a year. I did assembly all not that long ago and when i turn ignition cant hear prime. All of sudden it stopped working. Theres many videos on YouTube how to make relay mod on r33 straight from battery so i did and it doesnt work! 😰 30 - battery positive  87 - positive from fuel pump to relay 85, 86 - one of two wires from original fuel pump wires(light blue, grey) and it didn’t work. so I check on ignition and took original BLUE relays wires from trunk, next to fuses. (I believe it’s IGN+ and ECU pin 18. it didn’t work…  tried connecting (IGN+ from og relay) and (ECU 104 from 1of4 FPCM wires) to my new relay 85/86 and it didn’t work.  I unplug FPCM. Didn’t work. im thinking what’s wrong   fuel pump is working, if I leave IGN+ on 85 and 86 straight to ground it works but it’s just nonstop. Since it getting constant 12v after key in ON. light blue wire gives me 6-8v.  so how this should be connected? What causing ECU not giving — on pin? Or I did sth wrong and that’s why it doesn’t work? I need negative signal on ECU that control fuel pump. What this should be?
