An Update.

17 n a bit psi and a little bit more time on the dyno.

Cheers ANDY !!

RPM scale is prob 200-300 rpm out as limiter is 7800 not 8000 ish.

Still stock internal unknown km engine with stock cams n etc.

I love these motors :)

stock nismo R1 (v-spec ii with R1 conversion), out of the box untuned.

It appears to be boosting late, and in a bit of a rush.. (1.1 bar).

so a nur engine with hard pipes, modified intake

box inc cold air intake, a slightly different cam, plus a weldina

exhaust and nismo ECU. (and various other bits largely unrelated

to performance).

post-51561-1227881479_thumb.jpg

just had all this stuff fitted, so a light tune, advised to drive for a a while then run it up again and crank up the boost etc.

1997 R33 GTR

standard bottom end GENUINE 58,250

Tomei pon cams type B 260,260,9.15, adjustable gears, cam cup stud kit.

HKS fuel pump (I did have adjustable HKS regulator but Xspeed changed it to a Nismo one??)

HKS extension kit.

HKS GTSS

Tomei manifolds

Sard 700's

I think that is about it for relevant mods - 380 RWHP, ill post up graph asap.

I am hoping for this figure to increase when it goes back in!

Not Really a turbo upgrade cause it's how the car came. But is an upgrade over a standard 32 GTR

1992 R32 N1 GTR

M's Pods

Unknown Brand Front Mount cooler

Veilside Exhaust

Greddy Profec B II Boost Controller

Nistune ECU

16PSI - 276.5 rwkw.

Did it quite comfortably but the stock AFM's were maxing out. Very smooth power curve, peak power coming on at around 7000rpm.

No idea if the turbo's are N1's or whats inside the motor. Will try and post up the dyno graph tonight.

Cheers

Bobby

95' GTR V-SPEC

Apexi Power FC & Commander

3.5" Exhaust (straight through) front pipe etc.

Split Dump Pipes

Bosch 044 Fuel pump

Stainless exhaust manifolds

Pod filter

Head Gasket & Studs replaced

Greddy profec-b booost controller

Ogura Twin Plate clutch

Hicas lockout bar

Trust cam gears

Garret 2680-7 Turbos

320KW @ 20PSI

One of the oil returns from the turbo is rooted though so my fun is temporarily at an end :(. Next on the list is complete rebuild & stroke. Try push the -7's to their limits... Car was tuned for torque. If you're up it enough in 1/2 it starts to lose traction when boost comes on (well you feel it wobble around a bit). 265 tires too.

Til' next time!

ok iv had my R32 GTR for 3 weeks now and bought a E11 V2 haltech, front pipe for it.

the mods for the car stand at

haltech ecu

s/s front pipe,3" all the way with one big resonator and a jap spec muffler at the back9system is not perfect by any margine and still runs the compliance cat

apexi suction kit(still runs the air flow metres(disconected)

cooper plugs

exedy h/d clutch

profect b boost controler running 14psi

the car also runs 20"x10" wide which i was told isnt to power friendly.

this is about it,the car made 293.4 HP

the machanic who is justin at CTP qld said the motor probably isnt standand as they dont make that power.

i cant thank justin enough for the work he did and will be using him again....thanks mate

    • As far as I can tell I have everything properly set in the Haltech software for engine size, injector data, all sensors seem to be reporting proper numbers.  If I change any injector details it doesnt run right.    Changing the base map is having the biggest change in response, im not sure how people are saying it doesnt really matter.  I'm guessing under normal conditions the ECU is able to self adjust and keep everything smooth.   Right now my best performance is happening by lowering the base map just enough to where the ECU us doing short term cut of about 45% to reach the target Lambda of 14.7.  That way when I start putting load on it still has high enough fuel map to not be so lean.  After 2500 rpm I raised the base map to what would be really rich at no load, but still helps with the lean spots on load.  I figure I don't have much reason to be above 2500rpm with no load.  When watching other videos it seems their target is reached much faster than mine.  Mine takes forever to adjust and reach the target. My next few days will be spent making sure timing is good, it was running fine before doing the ECU and DBW swap, but want to verify.  I'll also probably swap in the new injectors I bought as well as a walbro 255 pump.
    • It would be different if the sealant hadn't started to peel up with gaps in the glue about ~6cm and bigger in some areas. I would much prefer not having to do the work take them off the car . However, the filler the owner put in the roof rack mount cavities has shrunk and begun to crack on the rail delete panels. I cant trust that to hold off moisture ingress especially where I live. Not only that but I have faded paint on as well as on either side of these panels, so they would need to come off to give the roofline a proper respray. My goal is to get in there and put a healthy amount of epoxy instead of panel filler/bog and potentially skin with carbon fiber. I have 2 spare rolls from an old motorcycle fairing project from a few years back and I think it'd be a nice touch on a black stag.  I've seen some threads where people replace their roof rack delete with a welded in sheet metal part. But has anyone re-worked the roof rails themselves? It seems like there is a lot of volume there to add in some threads and maybe a keyway for a quick(er) release roof rack system. Not afraid to mill something out if I have to. It would be cool to have a cross bar only setup. That way I can keep the sleek roofline that would accept a couple bolts to gain back that extra utility  3D print some snazzy covers to hide the threaded section to be thorough and keep things covered when not using the rack.
    • Probably not. A workshop grade scantool is my go to for proper Consult interrogation. Any workshop grade tool should do it. Just go to a workshop.
    • In my head it does make sense to be a fuel problem since that is what I touched when cleaning the system. When I was testing with the fuel pressure gauge, the pressure was constantly 2.5 bar with the FPR vacuum removed. When stalling, the pressure was going up to 3.0 bar (which is how it should be on ignition).
    • ECUtalk pages don't mention they support the ABS computer (consult port has more than one CAN), so you might just need a different scan tool. But, I would expect ABS is a different light to the brake warning/handbrake light, do you see an ABS light come on for a few seconds when you turn the key from ACC to IGN? But since you said: I'd have a look at the ABS sensors in the rear hubs to make sure they are not damaged, disconnected etc.
