Well I'm about to cut them bits up you asked for gtrpsi as I'm about to start porting the head soon, I finished my porting on the bit that's attached to the head a while ago, took about 10 hours to complete, a question for people who are experienced in head porting what kind of finish do you use? I'm using 80 grit on a little die grinder flapper disc, here's a few pics of how it looks, Port matching to my hypertune runners T The left is standard the right is my job
  3. Ah I see so I must have the model before the v2 well that would save porting the coolant manifold because it took about 10 hours to do mine.

I've brought one second hand for my new motor that's getting built, I didn't want to run the 12 injectors so I plugged the holes up with a grub screw, and faced the runners down so you can't see them from the top, I'm no mechanic so I can't help you with the rest sorry but here's what it look like

  10. Just a suggestion on the rims as a cheap alternative, what about a 15 steel band to what ever width you desire and use a ford steel rim centre, that way you can weld the centre to band at what ever set you want.

  16. ^ this, I was going to put a rb25 det into my navara I had a while back , measured it up and it was to big for the engine bay , unless modifications were made to the firewall, so I went the easier option and put an fj20 turbo in it, was a much easier job!

  21. Build it once, build it properly, don't build a motor on a tight budget or there's a real chance you'll be rebuilding it again soon , that's what I've learnt with rb's
