not to sure where you get your "information" from, both Dayco and Gates give a 100,000km warranty on their timing belts, and bosch offer 100,000km warranty on their high temperature timing belt

My 1975 C110 Skyline Restoration
Coullsy replied to adznight's topic in Members Cars, Project Overhauls & Restorations
This is just fantastic, easily one of my favorite threads -
Hey mate welcome Throw up some photos of your 33. Insurance in general in a nightmare for skylines, a lot of major companies won't touch them, and the ones that do want a kidney. Have you looked at Just Cars insurance? That who i went with as the cover all mods and were fairly reasonable

no point having a seat that wont be comfortable, the other option is find different rails, there are other brands out there that do low rails for 32's
-
It will depend what rails you get, you can get the Bride Type-LR which is a low style, but they wont fit the Euroster's, have you considered the Gias II or the Stradia II, the are both a low mount seat so they should give you more head room over the stock GTR seats
-
they are a nice seat This is the measurements of the Euroster's if it is any help
-
you thinking of aftermarket, or trying to source a pair of GTR seats?

nismo 320 km speedometer to suit a31 cefiro?
Coullsy replied to bryce88's topic in Introduce yourself
Hi mate, this in a introduction section, you may have more luck with a response from the "other Nissan imports" section of the forum -
Welcome, that's looks extremely tidy, what are your plans for it?

A few small things to fix comes with the territory of second hand cars unfortunately. For the stutters is does sound like to coils breaking down, it would be worth while checking the wiring for breaks as well. I wouldn't think it would be the fuel system as it was keeping up on the cool night. If a fuel pump over heats it will stutter all the time, not just at high load. I'm not too familiar with the 4WD systems in these, it would be best having a search of the forum, almost certainly someone else has had this issue. It will all come together and be quite a nice car to have.

Hi mate and welcome. Do you have any pictures of your GTR?
-
Have you got some pics of your 32?
-
This is true
-
At high speed, a single wheel lock with an inexperienced driver, the chances of the car spearing off into other traffic would be quite high
-
That's a fantastic idea, definitely a lot safer and more controlled then the PIT, but the non tethered style is a bit questionable
-
There is something about white on white, it looks fantastic. create yourself a built thread so we can all follow your build.

Too easy

Welcome Mate, looks nice and tidy, what are your plans for it?

R32 4 door to 2 Door conversion?
Coullsy replied to zaziz's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Mate, that's quite uncalled for, if you actually spend 30 seconds and read the post, he can't import a 32 GTR as the countries laws don't allow it and he obviously has access to a 4 door 32 that's all ready in the country. Unless you have something constructive to say, don't say anything at all. OP It would be possible to do, but the engineering required to do it and also the money would make it probably not worth while, it would need to be dead straight and chances are it would never drive and handle correctly. I think @zebra is onto the right idea, get yourself a half cut and convert the running gear and front end of your 4 door over to a GTR, you will be able to pick up the rest of the various goodies along the way to bring the interior and rear up to spec. i like the idea of a 4 door 32 GTR -
There should be a sticker under your bonnet somewhere with when the timing belt was last done, either on the timing cover, rad support, firewall, or strut towers. If you can't find one, it's recommended that you get the belt replaced, if it lets go it will cost you an engine.
