No idea how the V35 fans work but normally one is for aircon and turns on when the pressure/temp/whatever gets too high (to blow additional air through the condensor when stopped in traffic). Perhaps start with a full radiator/block flush and fresh coolant?

What turbo? Standard boost control?

Where is the dyno located? USA or down under?

Running off old memory but it was related to the radiator being lower than head and car not being bled properly because of that. R31's rad was higher? Like I said, it's been a long time since I've read about this.

There are options for standard R31. I got the HR31 struts for the 100mm brake caliper mounts

I suspect the cracked head story is from a VL, because their factory cooling system was not set up correctly, so someone drove their VL with a blown headgasket for thousands of kilometers before the engine gave up.

I got some HR31 struts, lowered springs (unsure of brand) and KYB dampers, was fine for daily use.

I suspect it's the early model RB20 NICS with the butterfly thingies.

Angry Industries had a sleeve for the front, you need to cut/weld your struts. The rear I think there are available replacement struts (S13 with top hat adaptors?).

Been there done that. First thing you should do is cover/seal that pod filter, or install standard airbox. Sucking in hot air does nothing positive for your engine. Sell your 3" exhaust and buy a GTS1/2 style exhaust manifold (6 to 2 to 1). . Buy two fat mufflers with 2.25" ends, then take it to your nearest decent exhaust shop and ask them to make you an exhaust with mandrel bends. Sound done. Get a 'hotter' camshaft and Nistune. Install and tune. Upgrade suspension and brakes. Replace all flogged out bushes (e.g. rear trailing arms). Also invest in a working LSD. Learn how to drive, go to track days etc. Once you're confident, sell the car or go all out on a turbo build.
