    Cast blocks have the issue of the cradle walking and require a fair amount of work to try and rectify. 1/2in head studs are usually desired to keep the head down but the deck ends up weak and cracks. the bores flex and end up either being oval or crack, also with core shift in the casting process you can end up with thin spot which either makes them only good for one over bore or not good for even one

    Coming from Herman himself was they were designing a cast block that will fix all the Nissans versions issues end of the day “cast isn’t fast, kill it with billet” 😉

    Prp have been going to release one for years, still hasn’t happened.

    turbo is back on has temp sensors in the manifold and a fitting for the emap sensor also fitted an oil pressure regulator against the block under the manifold

    I thought the issue was the normal pump cavitates and that was the reason why they made the n1 pump which flows less to prevent it.

    The factory diff is a 2 way plated lsd just like all the aftermarket ones (including nismo) cheapest and easiest is to have your diff rebuilt with nismo plates

    To get around that the paint shop usually asks for the fuel flap and matches it to that

    I replaced every bush with white line in mine and was the best thing I ever did. I also rebuilt the factory diff with the nismo plates and that made a huge difference as well

    BCs are usually known for being pretty stiff, mca have a budget brand they make now and might be worth looking at

    Started installing the inlet manifold put the first part on along with the drive by wire motor then the throttles and adjusted rod for the throttles then the new nismo plenum went on, I didn’t take the lugs off because I like the original finish

    They are labeled wrong, a gtst mount and a gtr mount are completely different

    I guess the verdict is still out, it could have just felt stiffer because they were new but then again they could actually be different

    Yes, I fitted an astra power steering pump in the boot when I put the single turbo on, I looked at a few options of using the original but wasn’t happy with any of it and just chose to get rid of it
